Eddie Hazel's singular masterpiece. His unknowing claim to being the greatest guitarist ever. My reasoning for saying this is based on the fact that Eddie's Maggotbrain guitar solo is pure harmony and not just riffing away. He makes the guitar speak to the skies. Incredible💗👌🙌👏🙏

I would argue that this is one of the first real rap songs. It came along in 1972, which is at least five years before "Rappers Delight." Rap DID NOT originate in New York City with inner city, urban black DJ’s. Rather, it clearly began with Country and Western music out of Nashville, Tennessee USA.

I shared this with my young daughter at the time and she was afraid of the pic on the album cover. "NO Daddy, not the meanie."
