For those of you who think that blasphemy of the holy Spirit can be committed today, is Jesus Christ physically on earth performing miracles in the Power of the Holy Spirit? No he isn't. Can you watch Jesus raise the dead, cast out satan and devils, heal others and perform miracles in the Power of the Holy Spirit? Again, no you can't. It's a specific sin that happened during a specific point in time involving specific people. Since Jesus isn't on the earth physically doing all his healings and miracles in the Power of God the Holy Spirit and since no one can first hand witness him do all this physcially with their own eyes and then foolishly accuse the Messiah of being demon possessed instead of Holy Spirit filled, contextually, it leads me to believe based on scripture This sin cannot be committed today in it's context AND THANK GOD FOR THIS! If you see and read the context of the synoptic gospels, you quickly see who the audience is. It's the Jewish folk. Remember, Jesus went to his own and his own recieved him not. Dying without Jesus is unforgivable yes, but we cannot conflate this with the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. to blaspheme means to speak outloud. Also if this sin could be committed today, why isn't it mentioned anywhere else in scripture verbatim? The last time I checked forgiveness of all sin means ALL SIN. If this sin could truly be committed today still in context of scripture, why is it not talked about in pauls epistles? Or in other passages of NT scripture?

The Holy Spirit within us causes us to seek God, and begin the process of being transformed into a new person. If we blaspheme the Holy Spirit, we have no part of it, and we have done ourselves in. We have cut off our only hope. Then we will not be drawn to God, or even know how to ask for forgiveness.

Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. When someone is saved, the Holy Spirit is the down payment for the redemption of the flesh prison that we are trapped inside. During our time in exile, the Holy Spirit will guide us individually on what needs to change for us to go from reprobate to holy. Some people will not like or flat out contradict what the Holy Spirit is telling them to do. This willful contradiction is the speaketh against the Holy Ghost.

Who are you to say that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit cannot happen today? Jesus said the works that I do shall you do also. So if his believers are doing the same works Jesus did and people today attribute those works to the devil then that is also blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
