Question?????? Can you just replace the guide, $19 for the Lakeline SS guide, and the spring for $3.50 and just use the stock striker. Lakeline wants $59.95 for the whole assembly and another $3.50 for the spring. The whole gun was only $199. Thoughts?

I bought the captured spring assembly from Midway USA for $30 dollars for my CA compliant P22. It's worth it to me. That spring is a pain.

I just watched your video and liked your suggestion of cleaning up the yellow plastic striker guide. I cannot believe what a difference that made. Didn't reduce trigger pull but boy o boy i cleaned up about a third of the mush before the break. I'll definitely be getting. The stainless guide. I also noticed the striker spring was binding up a but on the retainer cup under compression so I radiused those edges also.

Does the extended barrel cause any problems

I need some help! I just cleaned my FNX-9 and was reassembling it. I must have hit the take-down lever with my thumb and rotated it back up without noticing as I lined the slide and frame back up. (Had on glasses I almost never wear, usually on contacts and up-close vision is tough.) The slide is halfway on and jammed in place. I can't rotate the take-down lever back on place. Anyone ever have this?

Seriously? That tiny barrel groove will save no weight. +1/4” of barrel will add almost no velocity.

Good video bro, try polishing the striker block and trigger bar that touches the striker block, that will make it smooth also.😁

I jist got some of the 147 +p and I loaded one just to see if it would eject well it don't my slide was stuck but got it unstuck so tried another same thing. Well the cases don't sit flush in the barrel and it take a few to get them out I tried three diff barrels same issue so tried both boxes same issue so not using this ammo. I will be calling them tomorrow and returning it. I buy from freedom all the time first time had a issue

Thank you so much for getting to the point. So many other videos do the same thing you have done in this 4 minute video but they take 15-20 minutes. I think they love to hear themselves talk. I have a number of weapons and when I do regular cleaning every few months even if I have not shot them, I forget the little differences in how to disassemble and reassemble them so I look for videos like yours. Excellent, five stars for Defense Training!!!

You don't have to take off the optic to clean. They make rubber covers for optics that protect it.

It would have been great information to let us know about the spring strentgh BEFORE turning the barrel nut. Ejected the cap into another dimension. Can't find it anywhere. Thanks...... *Update: 30 minutes later and I found it. Pretty good video over all. LOL

I’ve got pretty much the same set up, I run the lakeline stainless steel threaded barrel and micro comp, lakeline stainless recoil spring, lakeline stainless steel striker. Other than the color the only difference in my set up is I also run a cts1550 micro red dot and a streamlight tlr7a weapon light

Thank you. I found it easier to rest the spring against the trigger lock during reassembly.
