@@yepstrazer I know they're a small team, and I hope they get everything right eventually. In the meantime however, I can't support a product that is clearly not finished. Phasmophobia on PSVR2 can be A LOT better than this.

Small companies have made more visually impressive games that run far better. Look up Subside VR. That's made by ONE person. They got the PSVR 2 version running at 90 fps within a month of releasing the PC version. Also, they don't need to be as small of a team anymore. Phasmophobia has sold quite well on PC. They've made enough money to hire more staff. They should have hired a programmer who actually knows how to optimize games ages ago. I could accept that an indie team won't be able to take full advantage of every PSVR 2 feature, and that the PSVR 2 version probably isn't their priority when it's also getting flat releases on PS5 and Xbox, but a bare minimum of haptics and some headset rumble when the ghosts grab your face isn't too much to ask for imo.

It's not the engine, it's the developers. They've done something very inefficient. No way to tell from the outside if it's the code (probably) or the art assets, or they've just not optimized anything properly. The PSVR 2's graphical issues used to be caused by the engine though, specifically Unity didn't work with PSVR 2's eye tracking so Unity games couldn't use DFR. But that's been fixed, and this game uses DFR and still needs reprojection. It apparently runs like trash on PC too.

I honestly think Sony needs to open a beta section for ps plus or extra members.. it would stop all of the half ass releases and keep them in beta until ready.. basically the people that want to play the early jank can play it and help devs finish the game correctly

Right now, games get released in order to keep funds coming while they fix the game.. i dont mind this, but don’t tell me the game is finished if it isn’t. Transparency and communication between Devs and players is the key.

I hear you, i supported Sony and their PSVR from day one, bought a ton of psvr games, and Sony rewarded my support by dropping my psvr collection and telling me that even though i supported their hardware and games with my cash, they would not, but thanks for the cash........hence why i have not bought a psvr 2 and have ni intention to do so anytime in the future unless Sony start doing their part yowards their consumers,

I'm personally not all that bothered about forwards compatibility and playing those games psvr1 again on the new hardware. I just don't really have the time, there is too much to play. Remember we already have psvr1 headset and controller backwards compatibility with the ps5 and Sony gave us a free psvr1 to ps5 adaptor. So you can already play those games if you want. I'm quite happy with the new games we are getting on psvr2. And looking forward to games pushing boundaries on like behemoth. If I wanted to play a psvr1 game I could just go fire up the psvr1 and play them. But I generally just don't. Last game I did do that for was to check on astrobot rescue mission and that was only because the new astrobot flat game came out. As such, I'm not even really in the market for these remasters like wanderer or Arizona sunshine 1. I've played those already the first time. I'd rather play a new title.

Remember Sony gave you free backwards compatibility. And it is down to the game Devs to make new versions of games for psvr2 at their expense. That isn't in Sony's control except for the few 1st party games. I think criticising Sony is kinda of harsh, because they literally gave away a free psvr1 adaptor for backwards compatibility on ps5 if you applied for it! Pretty much all the psvr1 games are playable on the ps5 with psvr1 hardware and ps4 controllers. I would call that 'bending over backwards' to carry people who upgraded to ps5 before psvr2 came out. Obviously psvr2 hardware and controllers are significantly different to psvr1 in button layout, resolution tracking etc so that psvr1 software just couldn't work on psvr2 without developer involvement. You can't really lay all that at the feet of Sony, at least now the psvr2 pretty much echoes the controller standards seen in most of the VR headsets, and it exceeds in other areas. I say, sure, you can still play those old games on the old hardware with the new machine, thanks Sony. And now I can play the new games on the new hardware. Otherwise, you are really only complaining about the cost of a second hand psvr1 that you didn't get to sell. Which is what? £70 on eBay now? Shrug!

In regards to RE7 PSVR2....Give me a locked 2000x2040 per eye, 110d FOV, PSVR2's deeper OLED blacks(PSVR1's for whatever reason are lighter), and possibility of a higher 72fps - 90fps frame rate, including RE Village's Motion based aiming(But without the environment motion based interactivity-jank), would give me the ambition to play through it just one more time. RE7 is visually less demanding than RE Village, so you'd think 'maybe' Capcom could get it up and running to 90fps with a PSVR2 + PS5 Pro. That would do wonders. No more motion doubling/duplication, less ghosting and smoother life-like motion to boot. But will any of this happen? I dont know. If Capcom doesn't tag 'VR:Mode' at the end of the upcoming Resident Evil 9 trailer later this year, than I think it's safe to say that Capcom is out of the PSVR2 race. And you can say goodbye to the idea of RE7 on PSVR2. Sony reduced the PSVR2's sticker price to clear their inventory and they've halted production with PSVR2. BUT, Capcom mentioned they have HIGH interest with Resident evil VR and they feel like it's integral to VR moving forward, so.

Well, at least with a PS5 Pro update with the pancake version, it should run at a locked 120fps at 4K without any graphical downgrades. Or 4K + 60fps + RayTracing. Still wouldn't push me at all to play through it again, since the VR version makes the flat screen version feel like nothing. PSVR2 + PS5 Pro 'Resident Evil 7 VR' > 2000x2040 per eye 110d FOV Deeper blacks thanks to PSVR2 (PSVR1's for whatever reason are lighter) 72-90fps with PS5 Pro (No more motion duplication or ghosting at 90fps, plus smoother life-like motion) Motion pointer based aiming like in Resident Evil Village

@@i_H7 Mine clips at 13 when it should clip at 14. I don't know what the reason behind this is, but since we know that the TV is capable of outputting 1000nits then we should do 15 clicks.
