Twisters is gonna stay at #10 on my top ten list even tho there are better 2024 movies that should prob have that spot because seeing Glen Powell 3 times in theaters with my daughters who are crazy for him was maybe the most fun I had at the movies this year. So I believe The Running Man is gonna be great. I kinda hate all Superman movies with the exception of the Superman II Lester-cut, but the Gunn trailer has me interested. And Dead Reckoning II is gonna be great just like part one was. It was just poor title choices by Cruise/McQuarrie.
Since Rob picked 3 movies I would have and Adam only picked 2, gotta go with Rob.
Rob took too big a reach at #1. Adam wins in the end due to a stronger bench.
Why did you flee Twitter for a pedo site? Trump broke you that much you can't have good faith discourse outside of an echo chamber?
MYSTIC PIZZA is a gem of a movie. If you're prone to Hallmark movies (like me, ahem) then there's MYSTIC CHRISTMAS, which is a very minor homage to this film set partially around a pizza parlor.

Joe Montana was the best actor the 49ers ever had.
I crave films that split audiences like STRANGE DARLING. While I really liked it (didn't LOVE it), I can clearly see both sides of the critical scale. Hearing both sides is juicy fun to me.
Bla bla bla
Great show as always!
Ive been trying to figure out what that artwork behind Adam is for an eternity.
Thank you for having us on!

I loved maximum risk
It's weird, we can't comment on FThisMovie Anyway, i always felt weird when i read about Ed Wood being the worst director, or Plan 9 being the worst movie. And nowadays it makes with everybody and their grandmother making crap movies with their phones
Quiz Show is a perfect film.
King + Albert Rosenfield? I'm in!
Had the movie "Thinner" been made earlier then Weird Al could've used it as a parody for "Fat." The old woman caresses his cheek and says "Fatter."
I wanted to take the time to tell you guys how much your videos have meant to me in the last couple of months. They’re really great and have kept me occupied during a tough time in life. I hope to see much more from your channel. You’re both really great at analyzing and discussing what makes a movie work or not work. Anyways, hopefully my sister divorces her spearchucker husband and moves out of my guest house. In the meantime, I’ve got movie reviews to watch!
A quick note about your opening credits...which i love.......RIP Redbox. Im pretty sure im one of maybe 5 people left on the planet that was reallllllly hoping redbox would figure things out. Alas it was not to be. They stopped updating their new dvd releases a LONG time ago (around Barbie 10/23). And as of a few weeks ago their parent company has declared bankruptcy. Expectations are the redboxes will start dissapearing soon. Its understandable as physical media has all but disappeared from everywhere save online sites and is continuing to move solely into niche/boutique distribution. I, for one, will miss the fun direct-to-dvd releases that redbox had, getting to rent new releases the day they dropped, and the amazing chance to get super cheap used blurays....all three of those were a wonderful replacement/reminder of the halcyon days of video store visits.

Another Of The Blandest Movies / Sequels In Abit For Me To See It Feels. I Do Not Hate The Movie , I Feel The Subpar Part 3 Somehow Was Overall At Least Vibewise To Me Tads Better Even Though In This One I Love The Practical Effects , Eddie's Still Ok , The Cast Was Ok Too , ALL The Beverly Hills Cop Musical Tracks Are Present From The Whole Series Too Which IS Fun. Besides The Title Track, Axel F Being Way Overplayed LIke 3 Times Or So. But Otherwise I Again Found It So Ho Hum , Not Exiting Not Funny Enough At All , Also ,To Me , It Almost Felt Like A Bland Video Game Side Mission , It Really Was Just Going Through The Beverly Hills Cop Motions Too. Plus Besides Maybe One Character NO One in The Movie Is Even Amazed Or Psyched At All That Axel Is Back. The Whole Corrupt Cop Bad Guy Thing Was Boring And Standard Feeling Too. A 3 Out OF A Booshty Ten , Not Arresting Enough At All.
First! Also i aint fallin for no banana in my tailpipe.
I saw this movie wnen it came out, a bottleged version in vhs in Venezuela (the uncut version - for years, I believed this was the only version) . I just love it, I paid a copy to the video store and watched a thousand times
For performance, watch Nightmare Castle (1965) and An Angel for Satan (1966) where she shines more.
Guy on the top right looks like he’s come down with a bad case of full blown aids.
Boarsploitation is a little-known horror subgenre. Alongside Razorback, films include Chaw, Prey, Boar, and Hogzilla.
This is the age of overly dark, depressing, overlong movies with multiple endings. Yaaaaayyy!
I'm in this army, but it's just the reserves. Great film that blew me away in the theater.
😅😅😅😅well and well information good show you can 😅well information good show you 😅😅well information good show you 😅😅well information good show you 😅😅😅
Wrong. It is definitely Camilla who is dreaming.
looooove it! this book is AMAZING.
What I love most about this movie is getting to watch Tom Cruise die like a bitch over and over for an hour. The effects and aesthetics are actually pretty good overall. The premise and plot are fuckin retarded, and the dialogue and acting are mostly crap, but otherwise it's not actually a bad movie. And, again...getting to watch Tom Cruise get ganked over and over like a scrub is just...endlessly enjoyable. I usually stop watching the movie once he finally gets good at stuff.
There is something that is just so fun about watching The Shadow for me. It’s one of my favorite super hero movies. Also with the Shadow’s face I believe it represents him altering your perception of his face so you see what he wants to to see.
Beyond definitely feels more Star Trek than the first two. Such a fun watch.
I’ll have to revisit this movie. Haven’t seen it since I was a kid but your review makes me want to view it again.
The quality of the pairing between the two actors is what makes me enjoy all the Rush Hours. I enjoyed your review of it.
jarmusch's early films Down By Law, Night on Earth and Dead Man are all excellent. His somewhat recent film Only Lovers Left Alive has a bunch of love put into. Filmed near where he grew up in Detroit---it has the social commentary of The Dead Don't Die and allows us to see Anton Yeltsin before he died. It also allows him to show off his love of international travel/culture which you get a whiff of in The Limits of Control (which also seems to have a little social commentary directed towards the wars America was waging at the time). All of these are probably best to watch in a theater on a big screen.....when you're not sleepy
Great seeing Margo and Sonia on the show. Now I just wanna do a Friday night double feature of Six Pack and Thelma and Louise.
Great piece ..
He was brought back to get vengeance with full wraith powers- enhanced abilities, undying, and unfeeling. Him interacting with Sarah and Albrecht is what made him vulnerable, the movie dropped the ball here by cutting out the Skull Cowboy and placing the resulting weakness on the actual crow being wounded. To me the movie stands apart from the graphic novel. No you don't need to read it because "it's better" both stand perfectly well alone, you need to read it because it is a beautiful story. Also if you ever get a chance to talk to James O'Barr the creator, do it, but be prepared, dude is an oddball. Also if you can, I'd track down his commentary track to the movie. No the Shadow is NOT the Crow for your parents. One is a criminal turned vigilante, the other a normal man heartbroken turned vengeful spirit. One is a pulp creation, made to entertain kids, the other is heartfelt creation born out of poignant personal loss, pain and suffering. The Shadow is like Ghost In the Shell. Took too long to gain mainstream acceptance that it gets accused of ripping off and trying to be the thing it inspired. Based on what we are shown, he basically morphs his face into what is needed.
Sam Raimi wanted to make The Shadow, but could not secure the rights so opted to create Darkman instead
FUN FACT... During the filming of THE CROW, Brandon Lee would stay in character while driving a hearse and listening to THE DOORS.
Fun fact that's not true. The hearse driving and listening to the Doors is something he did before he ever got this role.
Til THIS DAY, I still break out in giggles when someone talks about PUSSYWILLOWS🤣🤣
Why is Jeff Bezos the most hated man on the planet
Is that a genuine question?
@msjkramey yes. What has he done wrong? Everyone orders from Amazon. Is it just a general "we hate rich guys" thing, or has he poisoned the drinking water in some village somewhere? I'm serious. I don't get it.
No superhero films ❤
I assure you that when the other year arrives, that heart emoji will change. 😅
Also one of my favorite movies, can be watched for inspiration or just for it's amazingly fun characters. I can also recommend another documentary about making a movie, WAMEGO. It's about a director from Kansas making modest very low budget film called FIRECRACKER. It became a series of 3 docs about the process of before, after and beyond making a film. Pretty fascinating.
2019 - It was one of the only years the Oscars got it right. My pic is Parasite.
