all good but that camera actually is 520p upscaled it lies about all it says and is rubbish, from experience.
*420p
480p, 720p? 🤷 I don't expect Sony quality for a few pounds I'm aware of these 'claims' 720p is technically HD 👍
@@stormpaul 480p, have the camera myself. Fine for the price but in terms of recording storms, would not recommend
It's Crazy😆
Interesting video but the railway of today is a joke billions of pounds spent on new tracks and overhead wires yet all passengers get for all weathers is a bus shelter as a waiting room that's what high train fares buy you😮,
Privatisation really did us in for the railways
That's beautiful. Surprised all the snow hasn't melted yet
Will do in next few days
I don't know what it is about flooded roads that seems to attract people to drive through it, it's not as if there isn't another route in a conurbation area like Mirfield. Even if you don't suck up water and wreck your engine, you're still filling up your chassis rails and box sections with water, only later on to make a rust bucket out of your car for future owners. Thanks anyway Paul, nice insight into what's happening.
Your welcome and I don’t see peoples rationale into this behaviour
Cool
Thank you
How do you get it😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Go to main game and land between masked meadows and foxy floodgates
God this looks amazing. Love high winds. Stay safe when filming!!
Think your wind speed device was a bit broken to be honest.
It was working better earlier in the day but the wind was causing them to rapidly discharge. Hoping to get a better one in the future that’s rechargeable 👍🏻
films hand and uploads to youtube, quality content
Thank you for your kind input. I’ll do my best to not measure wind next time :)
I want to move to Wales, because of the weather. My wife says no, because of the weather 🤣😂
I’m lucky to have family there and when the weather is good, it’s epic but when it’s bad, it’s real bad. Don’t tell your wife the second bit though ;)
@@stormpaul I enjoy the rain, and what most people call "horrible" weather. But I absolutely love the extreme weather. Fascinates and scares me in equal fashion. I remember a few years ago I planned a hike, never check the weather, but always plan for the unexpected. It turned out to be a very windy and rainy day, and it came in, in full force while I was crossing the South Downs. You know that rain that stings your face? I loved every second of it. Although I did forget to don the water proof trousers, I didn't really care to be honest.
It's okay nothing here goes above 20mph 😂😂
I was only in jeans and a hoodie, as a Yorkshire person this weather is summer to us 🥳 it was very scary a few times I thought I was going to get ripped apart by the wind, even my glasses nearly ended up in Betws-y-Coed 🫤
Only around 43 mph max on your anemometer.
Earlier in the day it was 61mph (see my earlier short)
Eka
That’s amazing. I’m pretty sure red lightning is quite rare
It is mate I was shocked to see it but it was a very violent storm
i watched it on radar it looked crazy
My friend told me about this update, and when I updated my PS5, I saw the PS1 startup.
I literally was confused when that happened to me
I wandered what the update was when it come up but once I updated I nearly cried with excitement
Impressive 👍
that stop signs on the huddersfieldd line
Not to worry I’ll be sure to be on the right side next time or maybe the left side…depends which way I’m facing

The railway tracks ran from Newtown goods yard down Beaumont Street into the gas works, it crossed the canal on a bridge which has been demolished now, locally the train was named the Beaumont Street flyer, there are pictures and a video somewhere on RUclips, can’t remember when it stopped running
Thank you for the information. I did have a look after I returned home at the side by side maps and so much has changed
Hi Paul, there's been a schedule of demolition of these facilities for a while now. Here in Bridlington they got rid of ours about 18 months ago and I see Martin did a video of one of his local ones. For quite a few decades now the method of storage has been underground salt caverns just North of Hornsea. They pumped a mixture of salt water and diesel down hundreds of feet into areas of natural salt and leeched out the salt to make massive underground caverns, the diesel was to help shape the caverns apparently, then they would take the natural gas onshore at Easington, pump it to Atwick, add the odorant and pressure it underground to then be fed into the gas grid on demand. This seems to be the preferred method now.
It’s a shame really but it’s the way things are going, out of sight out of mind. Safer though because if one of them goes up it’s game over. Had a few in my home town which have now gone but there is another working facility not far from me which I intend to look at. I’ve let Martin know about this one so he can take a proper look around
Sound quality absolutely rubbish
Thank you I’ll be sure to get the most best equipment from temu next time 😂
Worst case of that was close ever.
Worst case scenario at the worst time ever
Super quiet train
I was visiting my folks in Cambridgeshire and the storms were down their. I remembered I accidentially left the top window slightly open and at 1.40 am was awoken by what was a loud explosion. Their is something fun about watching storms, something even better when it's dead in the morning and dark outside.
Look like some severe flooding going on
Wow Wonder, time & date,? But a short !
Yesterday night and there is a full video linked
Oh yes, its developing nicely
Expected date of completion: 2048.
Plenty more round ups for me to do 🤣
now that is cynical!
Your excitement is palpable as the red lightening flashed from the thunderstorm, amazing
Was amazing to be around. Could feel the static from the imminent thunderstorm 🌩️ in the air
Wow 😮
It wad stunning
Well this really is beginning to see the wind of change out there, at ravensthorpe, for whom the transpennine route will also be electrified as part of the upgrade, It'll be quite sad to see the old currnet station go, let alone replaced by the new proposed replacement station - at ravensthorpe out there.
I’m sure it was very interesting. Just a shame we couldn’t hear a word or understand what the pictures were supposed to show.
I’ll be sure to tell the wind and weather to be out of the way next time I go down so you can hear clearer
In the time it took you to put this message, you could have just turned the captions on.
Good point ☝️ but some people just love a moan
I could hear it ok 🤪
I wonder if the concrete slab is the New platform or the Footing for the new road bridge piers
I would imagine so I’ll keep an eye on this over the next few weeks
I'm down in Devon. Heading to the coast at about 5am, expected to be 42mph Gusts with 9ft waves & high tide, should be interesting
I'm just an amateur storm chaser, I don't have any meteorology credentials, but I live in the great plains and I've seen many tornadoes in my life, some intentionally, some incidentally. The possible tornado near the end doesn't quite look or sound like any tornado I've seen. Here's why I think this is probably a downburst. First, the motion of a tornado is pretty fast and unmistakable, it would have quickly made that condensation into a smooth laminar cone shape with lots of very apparent motion in the cloud base. Tornadoes move very, very quickly, and that motion is extremely obvious in the parent storm. The motion here is more of a smooth gliding motion, not the sort of rapid twisting motion I've seen. It really lacks the very fast motion I would expect. Overall, that storms that I've seen produce tornadoes tend to look a lot "angrier." Also, there definitely seems to be a lot less lightning and thunder than I would expect too. Second, I've heard more tornadoes than I've seen. In particular, I was very close to the 2008 Windsor Colorado tornado. I never saw it, but I could definitely hear it. They have a pretty distinct sound, something like a jet engine or a freight train. You can hear them before they touch the ground too. A tornado that large would be making an incredible amount of noise at that range, it would be hard to miss.
Thank you for your input. Weather here in England is a lot more robust compared to the bigger and badder tornados on the US continent. It was radar confirmed by people who are well regarded in the storm chasing community and I am skywarn UK trained and certified . I was about 1km from it and microphone does not pick up the noise it was making. I was in a full on downburst storm chasing on the 1/8/24 in southern England. I do note the comment you make though 🤝🏻🤝🏻
@@stormpauloh, this is a confirmed tornado! Nice! I went back and scrubbed back and forth and you can definitely see the clouds in the sky above the lowering rotating. I missed that before. What still looks off about this is the shape of the lowering. I definitely expect that to look cone-shaped. Maybe it’s a rain shaft and the funnel cloud is embedded within? That would track more closely with what I’m used to seeing. A very cool-looking storm, fantastic chasing 👍
Recognize this rain from my visit to Holy Lock,Scotland...intense!
It was a real scary experience
@@stormpaul It was indeed.
Nice! Arcus like that could fool anyone think it was a tornado. Absolutely wild.
Was mad to be near and watch 😀
@@stormpaul I got fooled by a big arcus cloud on a shelf a few weeks ago. Spooked me real good into thinking it was a tornado. I made it the thumbnail of my video from Arthur, Nebraska. Reckon you’ll ever come to chase in the US ever? England isn’t exactly known for the kind of severe weather we get out here.
It was wild. My other video posted shows what could of been a tornado
@@stormpaul I'll check it out!
What antenna is this and does it affect the gps function? Does it affect the CB band listening?
This radio does not have GPS function and is stock antenna. There is no CB band listening as it is on the 50Mhz/138-169/430-470mhz bands
Awesome Paul ⚡️ Wicked show over Lancaster yesterday hoping to get round to editing the footage this afternoon. Roll on the next lot 👌⚡️⚡️
Beautiful ❤
Thank you 😁
Hi Paul, how good is your camera, I tried to record some live footage but didn't get anywhere close to this quality, great footage ☺️
Using iPhone 15. Best way I found was to put it into night mode and fiddle about with exposure on the viewfinder. Should work for android too. For photos I put night mode to max (10 secs) but still did ok on 3 secs. No results on my DSLR
Also, when filming on a phone you should be able to capture. Noticed that in a lot of the new phones
The mic didn’t pick it up that I can hear of
