Looking for a publisher for my film guide for women (500 feature film reviews). This is the side project I worked on for three years while writing my 'Big Book'. On this channel I post videos connected with both my book projects. Happy viewing!
July 22, 2020, notice: What is a Woman? is now available here: www.blurb.ca/b
July 9, 2020, notice: What is a Woman? is temporarily unavailable due to a print mishap. It had been available at Blurb.ca, and I am working hard to make it available again asap. It is an antidepressant of sorts about women in support of women and J. K. Rowling (50% of my profits from this book will be donated to the Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter. You can find out more about it here: www.sexualizationofwomen.com/book-blog.
I was locked out of Twitter (AllineCormier) for five months in 2020 before receiving an apology. Follow me at ACPicks2.

Heathers (1989) - Enjoyable ending for female viewers
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.3 года назад
Filmmakers rarely give audiences the kind of enjoyable ending where a female character plays the hero who saves others from a life-threatening situation. Heathers (1989) does. SPOILER ALERT: If you do not want the ending spoiled you should stop reading now. In this scene Winona Ryder (the lead female), who has just prevented Christian Slater from detonating a bomb in their school’s boiler room ...
Albert Nobbs (2011) - Protecting another woman
Просмотров 13 тыс.3 года назад
Filmmakers rarely show audiences women protecting other women. In this clip from Albert Nobbs (2011) Janet McTeer, who plays a lesbian disguised as a man (Mr. Hubert Page) in order to earn a decent living, suggests to Mia Wasikowska (the young mother of baby Albert) that she will look after her rather than allow Wasikowska to be thrown into the street and her baby taken from her. Two women (Gab...
Bombshell (2019) - Roger lied to me
Просмотров 21 тыс.3 года назад

In this clip from Bombshell (2019) Anne Ramsay, playing a Fox News anchor, tells someone over the phone that her co-worker’s (Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson) sexual harassment allegations are true and it was her boss (John Lithgow as Roger Ailes) who was lying. Bombshell (2019) - Let’s worry about the law
Просмотров 14 тыс.3 года назад
Filmmakers rarely focus on sexual harassment in the workplace. In this clip from Bombshell (2019) Charlize Theron, playing Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, explains to her co-worker that if sexual harassment allegations concerning Fox News are swept under the rug their employers could be liable for compensatory and punitive damages. She tells her to worry about the law before PR. This enjoyable bio...
Bombshell (2019) - The harassment hotline is bullsh*t

This enjoyable biographical drama has much to offer female viewers. For more videos that explore sexual harassment in the workplace, subscribe to this channel. I do not...
Groundhog Day (1993) - Slapped
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.3 года назад
Filmmakers rarely show audiences women responding assertively to inappropriate behaviour from men. In this scene from Groundhog Day (1993) Andie MacDowell spurns Bill Murray’s advances (she slaps him when he attempts to kiss her without obtaining consent). The screenplay was written by two men (Danny Rubin, Harold Ramis), who clearly demonstrate in this scene that this is how men expect women t...
Lolita (1962) - An assertive moment

In this scene from the 1962 film adaptation of Lolita Sue Lyon, the girl sexually abused by her stepfather (James Mason), lets him have it. She tells him that she does not want to go away with him, that she hates him and she shouts at him, “Oh yeah, well I’ve got news to you. I’m gonna do anything I want to anytime I want to with anybody I want to and you can’t stop me!” This is the first time ...

Now, Voyager (1942) - Camping

Filmmakers rarely show audiences females camping. In Now, Voyager (1942), based on the novel by Olive Higgins Prouty, Bette Davis takes a girl camping, as well as fishing and canoeing. Although the inclusion of such a scene may not sound like anything to get excited over it is actually a very rare occurrence in film. So tragic and beautiful, considering what happened to them in real life. Goes without saying, this is what true love looks like. Doesn't have to be just with humans. 😊
😶🌫️🤔
Whoa
If this movie came out today: you’d have ton of nerds on RUclips claiming this is feminist woke propaganda
The way she pushed Prissy through the door 😂😂😂
What a jaw dropping performance from Kate. I LOVE her Eleanor.
the original script had Maddison's arm suddenlly GRAB claire, from the grave, but Stephen King said he would just SUE Zemeckis's a**es off.....
My favourite film.
what an actor she was!! Her diction, steely gaze and yes, damn good writing
In the book, this is the only time we see Belle 'on stage'.
Beah Richards nearly stole this film, even in the presence of Tracy, Hepburn, and Poitier!
Despite her reputation Belle was humble, grounded and did what she could to be of service to others. That should be the least we can hope for of all our fellow men.
Tis Ireland...the church‼️👿
One of my biggest pet peeves is when we are asked to read something written on paper in 3 seconds or less. That writing was completely illegible
Hmmm……STILL THINK IT IS FUNNY?
What the ultra left wing beefwits who make these ridiculous anti-constitutional propaganda films do not understand is that the American people don't need lobbyists to get them motivated to purchase firearms. All they need is the Second Amendment, which guarantees the rights of the people to be able to defend themselves against tyranny be it foreign or domestic. Unfortunately for leftists like the type who make films like this, the increase in firearms purchases in the last 50 or so years is due mostly to the failure of left wing policies which have destroyed the fabric of this nation and have enabled the mayhem that we are currently living through. If you doubt this, just ask yourself this question and try to answer it honestly... the AR-15 has been available for civilian purchase since the 1960s, a time where there were *no* background checks and you could actually purchase weapons through a catalog and have them delivered straight to your home. Why then didn't we have mass shootings and rampant gun crime every other day at that time? The phenomenon of mass shootings and school shootings seems to have accelerated in the 1990's, long after all of these stringent modern gun laws were put in place. Now, the question is, how is all of this "gun violence" occurring now when it is so much harder to obtain weaponry legally than it was in the 1960's? And a bonus question, is America more conservative today or more liberal than it was in the 60's?
I wonder if Maude knew to transplant this tree before rain season for it to survive. But thanks to her, I planted two "catch and release" redwood trees at a park wilderness area nearby as tribute. Thanks for planting the seeds in our minds dear old lady
The Crucible is the story of a moral panic over witchcraft or left wing politics when it was published. The moral panic in 2020 was George Floyd. 100,000 blacks were murdered by other blacks so middle class white people could feel better about themselves.
Pigs have their noses in the trough, not rats.
You can sense all of her life with her husband, how much she willingly gave up for her son, and how she knows what must be said now. Brilliant.
I'm on board with the dad on this one..
This was foreshadowed by the Cynthia Green scene. The IP address is basically "Turn to Tab 9 please".
Shit, you shouldn’t have boobs that big it’s a workplace hazard
Actually, she was found guilty - she was to pay millions and face years in prison - the judge called the prosecution's case a joke; gave her a slap on the wrist - fine and probation.
That was not even an IP address 😂😂... 449? 😂😂😂
Chastain? Lithgow? Waterston? Mbatha-Raw? This movie is beautifully casted!
Ngl, that scream of anguish from Scarlett freaks me out.
I remember watching this movie as a little girl with my parents!! When I was little, Scarlett was my favorite character and I remember thinking "why can't her and Ashley be together? I don't like Melanie, she's stealing Scarlett's man." Now that I'm older Melanie is my favorite character! Her pure heart and kindness is truly remarkable!! A very kind lady!
Best scene!
I'm a male myself yet i ask the same question
Cringe rant. But it's nice how her son tells her to shut the f*ck up🙂
La amo❤
If this same scene happened in a Terminator now, the anti-woke crowd would be losing their minds.
Sigourney Weaver impresionante!!!. Talentosa inteligente unica.
Your honor, as you are aware, under the terms of prenuptial agreement, if Mrs. Dickinson and Ms. Sawyer commit armed robbery, vehicle destruction and hat thief, they are entitled to nothing. With your permission, we'd like to play the following tape recording.
Sad what happened to her.
For some reason I remembered it as 'a grape' and not 'a pear'. Ah, it's tough getting old. :)
"I slipped, GOD HELP ME, I SLIPPED" 😂😂😂😂😂😂that line always had me in stitches.
😂
Norma Donaldson brought me here. I'm OBSESSED with her. RIP
This is how After, Throught My Window, The Kissing Booth (with that secondary couple I don't remember the name) should have ended.
The audio is from High Noon (1952) if anyone is wondering.
Always will be one of my favorites ❤

I acted in this, as a kid, asleep bit now camouflaged!
By all means, let's cut off exactly where things were starting to get really amusing.....
Diana Rigg stole this blatantly for GOT

Great clip and reminds me of how much I love working remotely 😂
She called her baby Albert omg 😢
