The 4 Marys Go Go Dance All Night At The Groovy Cellar - Captain Sensible
this is the best punk collaboration ever.
One of the best single ever !!! Punk As Fuck
This is ace. My favourite song off the Paranoid album x
Remixed by Paul Simonon .

One of the DAMNEDS first tours was opening up for T.REX.
Only 1 like and that's mine ffs
This sounds like evil primus
Love it! Great version. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Saw Joe at the Mr. Ed Festival in Dallas, ‘84. T-bone Barnett,Tiny Tim and Wilbur on the Bill
Such a great track
I went to the Groovy Cellar too in 1981.
Joe is a legend around the pool table too - they still talk about him in Louisville after a Headliner's gig
Thank you for uploading.
Damned good
I love the Captian.
wow, what a version! instantly the best
Genial! Ich kannte bisher nur die Versionen von Big Black und Snakefinger.
First heard this song on XFM in 2004
I love this, I was just a little too young to go to the concert at the time. So grateful for the records thanks for posting :-)
nuff niceness!...all the reggae style tracks, glad i still have all the band's original vinyl
I can remember falling into our record player aged about four or five laughing at Reet Petite by Jackie Wilson and this one.
Goodbye Karl,be with the stars,Goodbye Jumbo❤,with the whole of the moon❤
It's been 40 years since I've heard "Our Souls to You", later paraphrased as a more direct joke by the late, great Terry Pratchett. (I doubt that this track was the source though, the pun probably occurred to him independently. But who can tell..?)
I saw them open for Chris Isaak at the Stone in San Francisco around 1987 or 1988. One of the best pop bands I've ever seen. And their CD gets played all the time when I go on a road trip.
Rachel Bor's amazing voice & input on so much of Captain's solo work sadly goes unnoticed...She is so brilliant, her cello work on The Deltic Suite is beautiful ❤️
Damn they really didn't show the footage at the Köln performance? Shame. Would have liked to see what it looked like.
Surely that's Thomas Crimble on Bass ? giving the date
is a favorite from my wife hehe
If the Damned, Sid's Floyd and Hawkwind had a teleporter accident in Startrek and became one single being. They would be this song.
That first song would have worked on a classed Damned LP. Too bad Vanian, Scabies & Co. never rerecorded it...
Another great song…brilliant live…
They were awesome live… wit a song no sense of humour was live…
Good u posted theese songs… they were a great live outfit the zones.. better than the simple minds… and alll had time to talk to you as a fan.. willie gardener was a wonderful frontman…
I have been looking for this song ever since I discovered RUclips. I don't think I have heard this since 1980 or so. Didn't disappoint.

Love the second song "Sinistrale" 🧡
Captain Beefheart always made me feel better about life, for some reason.
First met these guys in Glasgow supporting SLF. 1989 l think. I wad a bit messed up. Dunno who was best, but the Alarm guys were brilliant. I have kept in touch with MP and love and respect The Man,The Legend. My 1/1000 copy of this has never been played,is signed, and will probly die with me,or be auctioned for charity. Any ideas appreciated. No scammers or ebay fortune cookies
Started out as John L Rigby and the Alwoodley Jets, later to be known just as Alwoodley Jets. Line up was John L Rigby vocals guitar, Biff (Robert Smith) on lead guitar and backing vocals, Andy Pharaoh on drums, Dave Caley on bass and backing vocals. Debut single Sleep Walking, b/w 4 12. Released on Petal Records, Leeds. 1976. Road management, Steve D Parker, lighting tech and head roadie. Mick Webster sound engineer. The band eventually split in half, forming Bombers UK, Caley was replaced by a French guy, and Pharaoh was replaced on drums by Dwarfy. The two bands went on to tour together extensively on the Blitz Tour.
18:25 a national car clash
Recently remembered how much I love this excellent cover of the Adverts’ masterpiece. Man, Dirtnap Records put out so much great music in the early 2000s!
Keep coming back to this... excellent.
the do-it-yourself ethic of the time - unique
Fantastic song saw them perform it a few times , shame they don’t acknowledge it , it’s a magnificent piece of songwriting/ lyrics! 👍
