There's a Mod called "Easy Hacking". It automatically gives you the password. This speeds up the game because there are a lot of Terminals to hack in this game. Life's too short. There's also a mod called "Faster Terminals" which load the in game computer terminal screens faster.

Frag mines can be picked up if you approach them slowly and snatch them quickly.

Cool, you had a random encounter with Kat and Gus. She is a vendor but mostly sells junk (which is a good thing btw). And yes you can later get your own "Gus" or security bot to guard your settlements. And with mods, you could even get one as a follower too.

NOT a good idea to kill Trash Can Carla. She is a valuable Vendor to trade with. She would have later appeared in Sanctuary to do trading with you. And trading goods is something you needed to do early in the game to acquire more guns and ammo. But live and learn.

Molerat meat can be taken and cooked for XP. And later sold to vendors. Ditto with Mirelurk meat.

When you explore places like Civic Access or any place, just pick up everything, because everything is useful for upgrading your weapons and armor. And upgrading is very very important if you want to travel south of Concord. Because the more South you travel, the enemies become more numerous. And this requires better weapons to deal with them. But remember, there are no weapon workbenches in Concord.

Yea, weapon wise, you weren't ready for Corvega. Your Pipe weapons were far too weak. The only decent weapon you had was a short barrelled shotgun, but you only had 16 shells. You did have the mini-gun with 424 bullets, so that's something. Plus in this case it would have been better to have your PA with you. What you should have done in Red Rocket or Sanctuary was upgraded your weapons at the Weapons workbench before going to Corvega. I think you could have also upgraded them in Lexington since there are 2 weapons benches in that place. And they are there for a very good reason.

Oh, when you got out of the Power Armor, you left the Fusion Core inside. Never leave the Fusion Core inside. Because then any NPC can steal the PA. So always remember to take the Fusion Core with you when you exit from the PA. Fusion Cores are very valuable in the game, and so is PA. You could take the PA to Red Rocket, and repair its Armor at a Power Armor station there. (if anything it will give you some XP). You don't need to use PA in the game. I never do after Concord. But its nice to have PA around.

When Mama Murphy told you about Diamond City, your Pipboy map was automatically updated to include DC on it. Its location is lower than what you saw on its screen. So you can move the map to be able to see it. Going to DC is part of the main quest. Everything else is an optional side quest. But they can be fun too.

The trick to killing the Death Claw is to hide inside the doorless building near the Museum. Then shoot it from there as he cannot get to you. Preston can also shoot at it and lower its health. But the Balcony method you used was also a good idea too.

A skull symbol next to an enemy's name means that it is far superior to your skill level. Usually that means run away from it. But this Death Claw in Concord needs to be defeated which is why you were given Power Armor and a mini-gun to help you. BTW congrats on killing the Death Claw!

When you take Stimpaks for healing, just take one. Taking two just wastes a Stimpak.

Not bad shooting against the Raiders in Concord, Good job! Pipe Rifles aren't very good weapons usually. But its long firing range helped a lot.

While I understand your reluctance to take Radroach meat, taking it does serve a useful purpose. When you cook it (or any meat item) you gain XP which helps you level up faster. Also, you can sell that cooked meat for a higher price than the uncooked version. You don't have to eat it as its not worth getting the rads. The more you cook food and craft weapons, the more XP you get and the faster you can level up.
