This was not an early stoppage. You can see Jiri's hand giving up when he is trying to tackle Alex - it was 100% a good stoppage. I understand "championship" on the line but elbows to the temple... are not joke.

i know hill got ko'd and it looked silly but he was doing surprisingly well before the ko his movement, distance management, the southpaw stance even though he usually fights in ortodox.... all of that made it hard for a striking savant like alex to land low kicks if im ankalaev (who is a natural southpaw) i would try to fight the same way. work on my movement, stay either fully in or out, try to be less ploddy, mix some takedowns, maybe add some front kicks to disencourage alex from throwing body jabs and im winning 8 times out of 10
