EASY WAY: If you want a really quick easy way to do this just alter the shape outline. Make sure the Cap and Join type are set to Round, then keep increasing the Width and it will round the corners off. You can also change the Width or Height with the Aspect Ratio locked and get more variation.
that may be easier but when you try and do more advanced designs with the shape you will start to have issues. I did it that way but I started to have issues when trying to use the shape for a more complex design. This video greatly helped me. It makes powerpoint see the rounded part of the shape as part of the shape and not as just an outline.
@@molly2frodo222 I see. Never used it for anything other that simple shapes. Still handy if you just want a quick way for that. Why this feature is not simply implemented into PP I don't know.

I do not have "shape format" in my powerpoint. :( is there another way to bring this option up? a hotkey?
Option 1 Right click on the shape and select Format Shape. It'll appear on right task pane. Option 2 Right click on the background and select Format Background. Background formatting options will appear on the right task pane. Select any shape on the slide, format shape appears immediately on the right task pane.

how to duplicate the rounded corner rectangle like that, to ajust automatically the spacemente between one and other?
Select the rectangle (or any shape) and press Ctrl + D. Once you have a duplicate, move it to a position where you want. Next step is crucial (Beware). When moving duplicate shape, it should be selected. Under no circumstance unselect it. Once it is in position, keep on pressing Ctrl+D, it'll duplicate with spacing as the first and second shapes.

Ctrl + Shift + [ This is the shortcut to send an object/element backward. Place it in between two text layers and bring the background-less camel to the forefront.

Help bro merge shapes it's locked I can't open
Merge shapes won't work for certain objects like when you have selected two placeholders. After selecting your objects, if merge shapes is not activated, type merge in search box on top, if it doesn't appear there also, some objects you have selected will be at fault. Try deselecting them and try again.

HI PPT Guy - here is an idea for you to sell to Microsoft. Morph Slide. So you add an extra Morph Slide between Slides so when you Morph from Slide A to B then the image on A changes into the Morph Square pattern and then onto the image on A. So exciting Eye Candy effects can be created OR just to Company Logo and on OR to Powerpoint Logo OR to nature patterns OR to various preset Templates. Something like the Morph Slide having a larger and more colorful version of the Company Header would create a simple but effective transition from Slide A to Slide B. Got it?! If you integrate ChatGPT style pattern recognition then great effects could also be created simply.

I understand your point. It may not be worth it if you intend to use it once. Some Presentations are used repeatedly in business for sales and marketing, in such cases, effort must be visible to your prospective client. However, putting in hours of time will not guarantee you an awesome slide, it again depends on the concept you are working on. Using basic shapes, you can create new shapes. For that, you need to understand how to use the merge shapes and edit points options under Shape Format.
