There goes a piece of my family's history... :-(

I am sad to see the old place torn down. This place got my family through the Depression Era. My grandpa, Tom Bennett, took my mom, sister, and me up to see the place before he passed away from pancreatic cancer. He had lived in an old cabin behind Moore's Springs Bath House as a boy. His dad was hired by his cousin, who ran this restaurant, to chop firewood and kill and pluck chickens and they in return got to live in the old cabin down the way. My grandpa told stories of hunting in the woods, setting rabbit gums, and fishing in the pond to put a little meat on the table for his parents and six siblings. He lived a hard life growing up around the Sauratown Mountains, but this old restaurant helped provide a roof for their heads according to family stories. Thank you for sharing the video. It's been a few years since I've been up that way, and I am sorry the building had to go.

I drove by and saw the old place gone .. that was a sad day.
