I missed this game.

when upgrading gear never use tools on non barter tree items because if you have a say +10 gun even if its in the barter tree it carrys over to the next weapon all the way to master and you end up needing 300 plus advanced tools DO not use them until you are set its the thing you want forever its easy to get to +5 +10 after that it can take 40 50 60 80 and so on tools and parts per level . if you upgrade quest stuff its useless later all of it and then you have wasted tools you stop using quest gear fast

the dont have the hector suit its the tutorial suit. there is alot to unpack here , 1 . there is a quick wheel for your stuff you hold c to set the items open your inventory and hit any number hovering over a object you want on the wheel the quest you are trying to do has a boss you need way better gear you can cheese him with nades or you need a shotgun at all times you really need to craft the gear in the area till you have got to the end of the tree for that area you are wildly under geared you skipped like two areas of crafting you are in grauges gear or even some swamp .that quest you are about to do gives you a blue rpd you get hystrix or firebrands when you get the dialog about what you found LIE TO HIM SAY HIS BROTHER ISNT REAL or you get the shitty rpd you want hystrix rpd.

The basic ones are a super waste you will never get your money back
