One very distinct thing about this show is when you see every house Bryan goes to these mf have like 3500 sq foot homes with 3 bedroom basements that are effectively 2 apartments I have to imagine these people are rich enough and well off so to be filmed they get paid a bag which spares their budget anyways. Bryant ain't going to so 2 bed room 1100 foot space with people making under 60K yearly.
I've watched his shows from the beginning and got hooked. I missed Sarah from his show so hopefully we can see her again. Will there be anymore Renovation Island? I hope so.
I've always wondered about these shows (Holmes on Homes, Property Brothers etc) when the home owners on the show actually sell their house! Will the real estate agent include being on the show in the listing?
So, these projects cut into the budget- take down the walls and adding the beams and posts/footings for structure, insulation, getting rid of the 9x9. If I had to guess at least $15K, maybe up to $20K just for all three. And yes, they should use spray foam! Homeowners just care about the finishes and everything people can see. A good contractor cares about what is behind the wall! A bad contractor uses drywall as a coverup!
So...they wanted a new kitchen, bathroom and sunroom for 50k and got...a kitchen. And they were happy! I wonder if, after the filming ended, they went upstairs to look at the bathroom and were like “Wait, what?!”
Did you watch the entire video? Do you have a clue about how much it costs to insulate, get rid of abesto, and put in that structural beam? Right there is at least $10K and some of that wasn't planned or budgeted. Now add the cost of a new kitchen appliances and cabinets! Those aren't cheap, even stock cabinets.
The show's premise is each home owner shows Brian 3 remodels they want done in the house, and Brian then gets to choose the best one for the amount of money they allot for the remodel. And Brian always explains why he chose that certain room to remodel. And he did tell them why he chose the kitchen in this case.
the kitchen was way too small thus the renovation, also, for the solarium and bathroom, Bryan explained about them when he explained why he chose the kitchen to redo. Guess you weren't watching. Did you perhaps think all three were going to get done on just $50,000?
mel2k on Leave it to Bryan, the homeowner gives Bryan three rooms they want renovated and their max budget and he surprises them with which of the three he chooses to do. This is a Canadian program and $50000 Canadian dollars wouldn’t come close to renovating all three.
First world people problems - "Oh we got too many light in bathroom, you can see everything ....Oh there is polished brass and nickel in bathroom...". Oh fuck you!
Very nice; however, I would NOT like the stainless still appliances & I would much prefer that the island match the white cabinets. Still, excellent job!
Cream of the Crop it's what they already had so they don't have to spend the money and the island doesn't match on purpose. it's contrast and flow into the rest of the house
i know im asking randomly but does anybody know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I love any help you can give me.
@Eduardo Case i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Idiot! The budget was blown because of a few things, including the lack of insulation they found and fixed and getting rid of that abestos! If they didn't have to get rid of the abestos, they could have gotten the countertops they wanted. A countertop replacement is relatively inexpensive- depends on material and the size of the counter. Looking at this a granite countertop would be about $5K, which they can do in a couple years.
Great show!

The whole concept of leave it to bryan is scam. He doesn't make the chose, your budget does.
The husband says he’s type A 😬 Amy is type A. They were like 50k. I was like how you getting all that for 50k then I realized it was 7yrs+ ago 😂😂
I’m in the US and have discovered that Bryan has been on TV for years in Canada. Lots to watch on RUclips..
I wanted to say what a great job you have done on it all.

I like how at 16:30 he says "I've got a little Project for you! We're ripping up the Floor!" and she replies "WE???"

love your kitchen it's beautiful but you didn't show the bathroom
If they plan on kids theyd better install railings on that deck while they're at it.
Too yellowish!
Fabíola Corrêa midweeks service June eleven
Looks like low quality materials.
We didn’t see the bathroom.
Nobody asking the real question, what was the actual overall costs for the kitchen reno?
Larry Tosswill 50 K ! That’s why they couldn’t get all the other work done!

what ever happened to Bryan's show?!
The men that were embarrassed and emasculated by Bryan all got together, kidnapped him and made him disappear loool
Great remodel but nothing was really wrong before except the lack of insulation. What happened to the solarium and bathroom remodel?

@@stacydw8701 $50,000 US wouldn't come close to renovating all three either. Unless that homeowner wants to be on Holmes on Homes!

thanks for posting this, I'm currently in the USA and I can't seem to find this show anywhere. It's really frustrating tbh.
Installing cabinets, trim, baseboards.. before the walls are even primed? Are you fucking kidding me?
+John Texas Sorry.

+Saba Rahman Well, he was right.

@Brady Korbin No problem xD
Nice neighborhood and it was okay before. Cheap countertops.
Dathan You are absolutely correct. They are cheap. Yet, they are practical and replaceable.
