    There is a tachometer signal-wire connector on the firewall, right next to the wiper motor. I think it was included for vehicles equipped with Tachs. I wire-clamped a tach-wire to it and ran wire through a firewall hole, up by the fuse box to a mini-tach that I mounted using double-sided Velcro.

    This testers are not that good for small engines mostly for bigger ones and gauge is inaccurate if using the rubber stopper attachments. I just used to see if all the compression are similar if so I would get a good ideal of the engines condition. If there was on or two that were lower than others then that's a problem. Less chance that all cylinder rings are bad. So gets you a somewhat ballpark range of engines condition

    Both combination wrenches are made in china. You say the Craftsman forge is ugly because it's made in china. How in the hell did husky look so good then it's made in china too.

    That's not the harbor freight compression tester. It's the cheapest harbor freight tester. There's also the Maddox which is more expensive that the Pittsburgh. Wander if there's much difference in them? Maddox is like $52 instead

    I plan to install a tachometer in my 1991 Chevy s10 and this video is perfect. My vehicle is a manual and I'm not really a fan of listening to the sound of the engine to guess rpm and relying on the "shift" light, lol

    • @endersphel7398
      @endersphel7398 2 года назад

      May I ask the year and model of your truck? To me, it sounds like a stuck idle air intake. Most vehicles should start at a high idle until they warm up a bit, then they should drop to roughly 650rpm. However, it can be a wide range of things causing such a low idle. To help, I'd really need more information
