There is a tachometer signal-wire connector on the firewall, right next to the wiper motor. I think it was included for vehicles equipped with Tachs. I wire-clamped a tach-wire to it and ran wire through a firewall hole, up by the fuse box to a mini-tach that I mounted using double-sided Velcro.
He's only going by looks and comfort on the hand what about strength and quality? Which one is stronger and last longer
Poor reviews. We wanted to see them in action to see how well they worked.
This testers are not that good for small engines mostly for bigger ones and gauge is inaccurate if using the rubber stopper attachments. I just used to see if all the compression are similar if so I would get a good ideal of the engines condition. If there was on or two that were lower than others then that's a problem. Less chance that all cylinder rings are bad. So gets you a somewhat ballpark range of engines condition
Looks more like an MTD Troy Bilt for sure its got some features as my Yardmachines does
Thanks for the video man! Can't wait to install my tac on my s15 jimmy!
Returned a $17 Klein one after I saw these at HF for $3.99.
Looks like you've never used them
I like how you mounted the tach. using that screw means you don't need to drill holes or mess up anything with the dash. Keep it original!
I just got em not bad for money but they feel terable in the hand. I have a couple wera ones and wow what a difference on weight comfort but then again the two I own cost as much as this set
I would clean it up
Both combination wrenches are made in china. You say the Craftsman forge is ugly because it's made in china. How in the hell did husky look so good then it's made in china too.
Well the husky combination wrench is made in china also so how is it so shiny and polished if your reasoning is china cannot make polished tools.
Don't sell this no more
I work at HF and bought one today 12/3/2022 and I wanted to see if it worked and both the units I checked it on it gave the same reading 40psi and the backpack blower I used to check it is brand new and starts on the second pull. So I guess I'm returning it for a new one
Sears ... Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time...
Husky is better
I bought the 8pc today.. which one did you keep?
Full auto hammer
Made in China = quality
sears is gone ... what's the point of the warranty anymore .. it's out of the door ..
Cool vid I just bought a 02 4 5k 193k miles black so far only cosmetic
It has a one second delay because of the ignition control modulator reroutes all the power to the starter to get it to turn over first
You keep saying the same shit over and over. Take them both back because they both give you a false reading. The Schrader valve has to be right at the point of what your testing.
Nevermind i was able to find holes that line up but what did you do with the wires and do you still have the mower
Did you have to drill any new holes and what did you do about the wiring. i am putting a similar motor in the same mower you have any tips that could help me?
That's not the harbor freight compression tester. It's the cheapest harbor freight tester. There's also the Maddox which is more expensive that the Pittsburgh. Wander if there's much difference in them? Maddox is like $52 instead
I plan to install a tachometer in my 1991 Chevy s10 and this video is perfect. My vehicle is a manual and I'm not really a fan of listening to the sound of the engine to guess rpm and relying on the "shift" light, lol
this exactly, i hate just listening to it lol
My truck doesn't go past 500 on idle in drive and at 500 in park I don't know why the idle is so low does anyone know
May I ask the year and model of your truck? To me, it sounds like a stuck idle air intake. Most vehicles should start at a high idle until they warm up a bit, then they should drop to roughly 650rpm. However, it can be a wide range of things causing such a low idle. To help, I'd really need more information
Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve is going bad. their cheap on rock auto :)
Better than gear wrench I've broken my gear wrench.
I’m having a hard time find my vin stamp on my 86 s10 2.5l
I happen to own these, they are unparalleled for the price, and you have to love that the tools are ensured nonreciept needed for life on hand tools at the big HF. Good review!
Harbor freight got that same set or a similar set?
Not for the quality. Husky is a better quality, cheaper and you get a life time warranty
That 1/2 inch husky ratchet is made by Apex, the same company as Gearwrench. You can buy it from Amazon sold under the SATA name less expensive.
Love the truck, but I gotta ask, why the big confederate flag on the Tracker?
He representing lol
Can you demo all the features. There are multiple holes. What are they all for?? Ugh... Another waste of time video!
How much did these wire strippers cost?
Actually, 9/20/2022, it is 4,99.
I own one, it IS badass.
Not cast it’s forged .
I've had mine for 2 years or so now, they work just fine.
Where did u purchase the tachometer
Husky is the best!
which one did you keep
Some dumb kid giving opinions about tools he never used? Son when you have wrenched with Craftsman for 50 yrs then make a video. I recommend making sewing vids
Craftsman is much better quality than the Husky in my opinion now the vintage versions of both were even better
how much in one set.
Not a big fan of harbor freight but have to admit these wire strippers I bought 6 years ago and love them. I bought many expensive other nothing came close to these. They last forever and I stripped miles of wire with them. I’m an ac installer and I really strip wire every day.
Actually husky has been around since the 20s, they’ve all just been rebranded tools. Husky actively goes out and finds industry standard and matches those specs for a lesser value
Yes I love husky!!! It IS our new craftsman, just don’t buy the black Stanley made junk, keep with the apex/western forge made
Good job! Thank you so much for posting this!
