Rhino Offroad
Канада
Добавлен 22 май 2023
A first hand look at the trail systems and wilderness in and around Elliot Lake Ontario which is my base, and also destinations around North America. Off roading has been a passion for over 35 years for me and it has just gotten stronger. Seeing places and having experiences not many people get to have is such a reward that it just fuels the next adventure.

5 Points KATVA Marathon
Chris, Shayne, Sue, Tam and myself headed out for an all day adventure around the 5 points in the KATVA trail system. It was an immensely fun day. Deep water, steep climbs, mud bogs and fast trails were all on the menu. It was a roughly 10 hour ride but man oh man was it scenic and challenging at the same time. Another great ride based at Minden Offroad park in Minden Ontario.

Elk Tower Tennessee
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.День назад
It was our final day in Tennessee so a ride to Elk Tower Lookout was in order. There were only 4 of us left, (Jason Meadows, Zak from Dirt Dudes, Julian from Adrenalinejunkieprod, and myself) and it was decided that the torrential rains of hurricane Helene had made even the smallest of hills slick and almost impassable, that an extreme ride would be pretty much a waste of time. The crew decided to tackle Pea Gravel hill despite the after effects of hurricane Helene. It was a near impossible climb and yet a few made it. The super crew had our first ride in Tennessee during a hurricane. It was messy and definitely wet but it was still a great run. Shayne calls his monster RZR "CRUSH", of course mine is Killa-saki and I don't believe Chris has named his yet. Have you named your machine? How did it get the name?
So far it just goes by the trial limo but I think Moose is fitting for it with the moose antler mirrors I have lol. Plus it was my nickname in high school and my grandfather’s nickname! Think we just named it lol
@@Barnbuilt_riders Love it man! Moose it is! 🤘😁 .........get some bigger tires on it and it will be un-stoppable just like a MOOSE!
That’s the goal for the winter! Clutch ant tires!
@@Barnbuilt_riders Hell yeah!, we will be down for a winter ride in January at the park. We will let you know!! 🤘😁 That will be fun.
Don't forget to give a like and if you haven't subbed yet hit it hard and set the notifications up for new content. There is always some on the way!
What are your favorite trails? Are they these ones? This whole area is becoming a fav of mine and I intend on spending more time exploring the HATVA and KATVA systems.
WoW.. That’s some shade tree $hit.. LOL.. Correct tools make a job SO much easier.. js.. But thanks, I get the idea.. Good video, I’ll give it a “LIKE”..
@@polarisuser9769 thanks.
25 nozzle is way too tight to use
25 nozzle?
So,,you don't actually drive a rhino?
No sir, I don't.......but now that you mention it.........:)
Love some east tn 💯.. can't wait til next time
Absolutely man, it is just to beautiful to stay away!
Let’s just hope those new rates for out of state passes does not get passed. It will hurt a lot of communities when people decide that it’s cheaper to go to WV or Kentucky. Just happy that atleast we would still have Windrock
@@jarodbaim439 Yep, that would affect me, being Canadian. I love that area but if it becomes ridiculous money...........
Tennessee has turned out to be one of my favorite places so far. Such a good vibe there. Is it one of yours too? Where is your fav spot to get some skinny pedal therapy?
Well I got beat at Pea Gravel, but I am not bitter about it. I see it as a challenge to come back stronger next time. Everybody has (has had) the hill that beat them, even if it was temporarily. What was yours and did you eventually beat it? Or is it still in planning?
💀
Excellent share
@@DaveCollierCamping thank you!
What a day..had a blast ..meet some amazing crew..put in some miles 💯 mission accomplished
@@Tntrailjunkie absolutely man, that was a great run for sure!
I apologize for some of the bad audio in the rear cam, it was full of water from the minute I turned it on and if you have gopros you know it is an issue.
Have you ever done a tour to the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary? Do you want to? What other destinations would you like to see on You-tube or go to?
im from ontario canada and have been i absolutely love the place but would like to trail ride there
@@t_crom I am from Northern Ontario and I get that. I love our trails here in Elliot Lake but its nice to branch out and see the world. I highly recommend Tennessee for a destination. I based at Ride Royal Blue and explored from there.
Thanks all new brakes on mine now. Good video. Amazing how even they are wearing on our krx’s
You are welcome! Yes, the offroad dirt and dust acts like sand paper and grinds shoes away very fast. Not much can be done about it other than keep an eye on them and replace as necessary. I use the engine brake every chance i get to minimize wear.
When you did yours when you let the back shocks down was your rubber divider hit right on the the crossover rings .that's what mine did .I just have factory springs .
Mine was all good.
Ok I had to do a little adjustments .I moved i crossover rings up 2inches they were at 3 1/2
@@wesleydonovan3097 Nice, I am glad you got it figured out :)
Lol no I can still do some adjustments. Lol i might to fusy .
@@wesleydonovan3097 Fair enough 😁🤘
Royal blue is always nothing but mud. Hopefully you got to ride tacket creek while you were there.
@@charlesbrown6161 honestly I'm not sure where we went. Haha. Jason was leading and I just followed. I will get to know the area the more I visit 😁
Hope u had funnn!!🥰
@@Exodus609 what a blast! 😁
Mad max
Yessir!
What part of Canada doesn't have Popeyes?!?
Plenty of the rural communities, like the North of Ontario where I live. Julian is southern Ontario and he has never had it. They are here, just rare.
Thought that was the buggy from half life.
Haha, no that's Julian.....Adrenaline junkie
Going to do mine just waiting for my crossover silencer rings and my sprin compressor that I order this week.
@@wesleydonovan3097 it will be an improvement 😁
With those measurements shock therapy said did it work for you and did stop the clanking noise out of it
@@wesleydonovan3097 yes it did. They still haven't sagged and the clunking has never happened since.
Thx for sharing on install !
And thank you for watching! I hope this helps people out :)
Great video thx for sharing
@@keitharnett2647 Thank you! I hope it helps some people.
I always like these local events. It brings the offroad community together and promotes our sport. Do you have any local events like this? If you do, do you participate?
Nice job. RUclips has increased my ability to fix stuff myself. Cost me 14 cents to repair my flat screen. 😂 I don't own a dune buggy
@@tinav1341 Thank you. I believe everyone should try to fix their own stuff if possible. 😁
Hey guys, I am expanding my riding to the States now so what suggestions do you have? I have heading to Tennessee very soon but I also want to try more local stuff like in Michigan and neighboring states. What are some good places to visit for trails and technical riding? I don't mind some mud but I am just not set up for bounty courses as we have seen, haha.
From Michigan , do most of my riding outside of the sault ON
Oh yeah? Very cool! We have tons of stuff to explore up here. I have seen most of it here in Northern Ontario so I am starting to explore the States. 😁 I believe Drummond Island is on my list. Any thoughts about it?
@@RhinoOffroad-zq8fhheading there in 3 weeks for the first time
@@bigpoppa05 Nice! It looks like an awesome time! 😁
Hey Rhino! Haha Seen you at the event last weekend, Crashapalooza 4.0, and thought I’d check out your channel. Good stuff brother🤙🏼 I think it’s super cool you drove that far to show the DirtDudes some love! Blessings sent friend
Thanks a lot man! I appreciate that! Yeah it was an awesome event, such a good time. I will be at the next wherever it may be. I plan on doing a lot more U.S. events as well. Maybe see you at another one! 🤘
@@RhinoOffroad-zq8fh absolutely! I just moved up to Michigan from Florida. All we rode down there was the swamp. Mud and you’d break axles every ride it seemed like. So the trails and riding fast is more my speed. Excited to see what you do in the future friend. Be safe and keep her on all fours lol
@@kennybeaudrie9021 Much appreciated dude! Be safe as well!
Have you seen the new cfmoto z10?
Not in person but in several videos. It looks like a contender.
I liked the KRX in the mud
@@FusionOffroad Thanks a lot! Yeah, that is more the KRX's element. Haha. It's not a drag machine at all. 😁
I might ad that this vid is awesome. 5 stars.
Thank you very much! I appreciate you watching!
Thats a crown lease hunt camp. I live close to the trail head. There is a side trail that will take you out to Francis road on the rail trail but you get to ride through the Burnt river! When you see the first house then beware that mud hole, it will eat a bike.
Oh ya? That is very cool that you live so close to these amazing trails. I am going to try to get over there again before the snow hits.....or even shortly after. I dont mind a winter ride :)
Is the measurements al same with the live valve fox shocks as well 9 1/2,and 4 3/4.
Now that I can't say for sure. I haven't had any live valve apart. Sorry.
And the front as well
Ok thanks
This is one of our favorite trails to ride when we visit Elliot Lake, it tends to have a bit of everything.
@@CanadianTrailRiders For sure. Just when I thought I had ridden every trail here, this one pops up haha. Just so many great trails here. Both on the map and off.
Total wash is the only product I use on all our machines, top it off with some SC1 and your all set until the next ride.
@@CanadianTrailRiders Absolutely. I understand a lot of people just wash with water and that's good enough, but the "glaze" that certain clay muds leaves just bothers me and this stuff eats it away to a clean finish. Thanks for watching!
excellent video. this shows the difference in the sealed box vs stock great! also great explanation on the spring removal.
@@rebelsoffroad Thanks a lot! If I can help even one person go outside their comfort zone and try repairs themself then it is mission accomplished. :)
Thanks for the time and effort! This is a great way to share good times with my family down south ! Keep up the great work!
@@gregsmith8562 Thanks man, there are plenty more rides this year and I hope to make it to most of them.
Did you run in low most of the time? I haven’t ridden in years & don’t remember my Rzr being anywhere near that loud. Thanks. Great video!
Nope, I don't think I used low at all. The KRX is geared low from factory so it revs to the moon. Cab noise (lots) is also normal in most of these new machines. Thats why Cardo headsets are doing so well, lol.
@@RhinoOffroad-zq8fh Well color me shocked lol. I’m getting back into the game, and there’s too many damn choices! Never looked at anything besides the Rzr, but the KRX’s seem to be pretty awesome. But I’m almost 50, and my body has been ruined by the military, so I don’t do all the wild stuff anymore. We can ride any road within 3 counties, minus 55+ mph roads. We’re into just cruising around, around here; mostly gravel roads & easments between roads & fields. I really want a Pro XP or a Pro R, fully enclosed. I’m the kind of guy that buys something nice with cash, and keeps it forever so I’m ok spending more for comfort.
@@brentdale5730 Well welcome back! We are largely in the same boat. My body has taken a beating as well, I'm in my 50s and I will still do the semi wild stuff but I don't go looking for it. There are definitely a lot of choices out there, all you can do is shop around and try as many as you can. The KRX suits my needs perfectly. They are not fast on top end. Some say they are under powered which is nonsense, it has never died out climbing or needing power in thick mud, they are appropriately powered is what they are. Not wild amounts of uncontrolled wheel spin. The ride quality is superb, tons of cab room and extremely over built. Tough as a bulldozer, so that's what I needed. Test them all and good luck! Welcome back into the game!
@@RhinoOffroad-zq8fh Underpowered? I see a dude that rides with AJP and he does just as good or better than some of the guys on turbos or pro xp’s. I mean, talent IS a factor lol. And that’s where I make a line kinda. I have talent and can enjoy deep mud or climbing rock hills, but I’d rather cruise a country road with my friends & a few road sodas lol.
@@brentdale5730 I hear you there. "Corny" at AJP regularly schools everybody but you know the Internet. People are all concerned about top speed and peak horsepower, and ironically they never use either one. I don't recall a ride that I was to the floor all the time, lol. But that is where the mentality comes from. If there isn't useless wild wheelspin and of control characteristics it is considered "slow". Lol.
Momma gave me your channel so now I’m following you lol. This is awesome! 💖
@@doodleswithpinkee Nice. 😁 Welcome to the channel.

@@RikkiandKaylaMosher oh yes, I pulled him out and let the machine dry out and it started back up. :)
Nice little turn out for that ride!! Looks like it was a beauty of a day for it too!!
@@NatureMakesNoise absolutely! We couldn't stop long because of the heat but splashing through the water with the machines cooled us off. :)
That’s a big hill!! Is that up in your area??
Yes it is, maybe 20 km out of town to the east
I've was out 3 times already,I'm done with the heat and dust till next week
I don't blame you man, tomorrow is a wash the machine day and then sit in the air conditioning!
We’re heading to the miden event. I wouldn’t expect a ton of riders just due to the difficulty of greens mountain. I think that will cut back the faint hearted. lol.
@@Animalcanam Haha. You have a point there, it's not for the average Joe! It's about a 6 hour drive for me so if I can make it worthwhile and stay a couple of days, yep, I will be down.
The tree that was down I made a trail around it the day before the race. We were out riding and come to it going the other. It was right to your left.
@@Animalcanam oh ya? For sure I could have gotten around it but I knew something was up when there were no fresh tracks. There should have been a dozen machines through there before me. Malfunction with the maps for a few people. Next year will be better. More experience with the GPS all around :)
@@RhinoOffroad-zq8fh We will be back next year. Unfortunately this year we couldn't attend and also wanted to make sure that some improvements were had as they seem to have.
Are you attending AJP minden off-road park ride coming up in a few weeks?
@@Animalcanam I'm going to see if I can squeeze it in, I think it will be crazy crowded. I believe my next run will be Drummond Island Michigan and then Dirt Dudes event later in August. 24th I believe?
@@Animalcanam Nice! I am going to hit it again for sure. I know I can do way better than just finish.
