@@jkelliher_24 It’s the only one I can assure you… 😂 4000s are hard to find out here, we used to have a ton a decade ago. If you do find one, it’s never guaranteed to dock, unfortunately.

@CarwashReviewsFlorida yeah the closest one to me is like 30 mins from me. It has peco blowers tho. Years ago I found one that probably docked. I haven't been able to relocate it since. A dying breed for sure.

@@justinlyonsPawPatrol I’m in need of motor mounts and the driver side door controls took a vacation and fell under the frame, which causes that noise. Still functional though! It’s a 2007 Toyota Matrix XR. I need to repair it soon, this baby still has more life left in her.

The majority of the 4000s that used to exist here were all LaserWind and did dock, but after a few years stopped working due to the magnetic mechanism, and or they disabled it. There happens to be one unit still around with all of its equipment inbay, but is currently broken or switched off. That video is coming soon, and a few years ago it docked, so if it's ever operable again, I hope it docks and it'll be the ONLY one to do so.

@CarwashReviewsFlorida ah I would love to see one that still works to this day. I'm guessing that feature breaks alot which is why the concept of docking dryers were not carried on into future pdq products. I mean they're kinda nonsensical because it makes more sense to just have them mounted on board if an operator wanted it that way. Looking forward to seeing that footage

Here in central Florida, only two of these exist and they're about a half-hour drive apart from each other, followed by a third that may or may not be working two hours away. This is actually the only working one at the moment, but everything else here is just modern boring stuff for the most part unless you really take a drive, lol!

Right? Crazy thing is, this was my childhood way back in elementary, some odd years ago... Life really flys right by, and here I am an adult, haha! This is a true gem still running strong, and stands the test of time!

@jarretstroud1842 istobals are the new top choice in my area next to Softgloss MAXX 5. Tbh I'm not the hugest fan of them but they do a fine job if they get taken care of

@@jkelliher_24 Istobals are good for owners looking to utitlize less chemical. They're fairly cheap to maintain, and thus the fact they don't use a whole lot of chemicals.

Automatic washes use foam material that does not degrade, or retain any sand, dirt, or debris within them. Hope this helps!

@@MarinosAkakios Hon, I’ve worked in this industry for years and still do as someone in management. I don’t just “take people’s word”. 😂 I would think I would know a thing or two about my equipment.

@@ThomasDallavalle You a manger or higher up at the site? I live close to it. Always wanted to check out the equipment room and tunnel if possible. I’ve worked four years in the industry so I’m familiar with equipment and safety.

@@ameliadiaz8040 Yeah, I’ve seen a load of sites on SONNYs controls failing give packages that come with that component, it happens randomly, but honestly if you use a good drying agent it’s not really worth worrying about, my car came out just fine…

Pinellas Park is quite far away from the Orlando area for just one wash that honestly isn't as enthuasistic of a company in my opinion. There happens to be a Mod Wash site in Orlando that just opened. When I have time, I may check it out, stay tuned!

You're talking to a tunnel attendant and soon-to-be manager here, lol. So, if you have your chemistry dialed in properly, the right amount of mils, etc you won't be lowering quality. Also, many different tunnels have different chain speeds set to work off their chemistry setup. You really have to play around with things when it's a brand-new tunnel, but once you hit the sweet spot, there's no going back. Where I work we have auto-roller where when the back tires roll over the tape switch it automatically fires a roller. I absolutely love it as on busy days like we've had from pollen season now, our car counts are higher and stacking is doable.

@@CarwashReviewsFlorida When you load cars so close the brush can’t even go between both of the cars comfortably then you are going to have a huge problem if someone jumps a roller. still will always prefer inbay washes. One near me is VERY clean and they hose the brushes off after almost every car during day.

@@DylBuilder1 It sends extra rollers after the one for the vehicle is sent, and the wraps do make full contour front and back still. So you like IBAs, nothing wrong with that, but answer this! Can your IBA wash up to 1000+ cars in one day fast and efficiently with no stop, and no wait time? I will give PETIT a point as they are the ONLY IBA I would ever install if I were forced to go with an IBA.

@@CarwashReviewsFlorida But the conveyor doesn’t stop for the spare rollers to hit the tire. No, but why would I want to spend 500k+ on a full blown tunnel(because if I was going to go tunnel I’d get the fusion, x3 and everything) when I can do 200k on an inbay, wash for the same/ similar price, and earn back my investment faster. I respect your opinion on tunnels though.

@@DylBuilder1 No hate man, I respect your opinion as well. If you don't mind me asking, what chemistry do you run or plan to run? I am going with either Lustra or QualChem, all depends on the cost though.

We've changed a lot since then, and have had time to dial things in correctly. This was taken when the store was brand new July of 2021.
