Pointman Bible Study - Act Chapter 4
The answer is easy and the problem is easy to understand. 60% of attendence is men in Muslim churches. 60% of attendence is women in Christian churches. Muslims teach patriarchy, and Christians teach feminism. Men are not getting married today because the Church and the State favor women in marriage. The only way to turn this around is go back to the biblical patriarchy in the Bible. Challenge me if I am wrong? Thanks guys!
You are not doing Jesus a favor by calling him God: Truly, this is the greatest lie that has ever been told. Jesus is not God-to say he is God is the furthest thing from the truth. He is the Son OF God. It breaks his heart that so many believe he is God instead of his Father alone (1 Corinthians 8:6). Jesus and the Father are one in agreement in spirit and truth-everything Jesus said and did was for the will of the Father (John 12:49-50). Those who think they love Jesus and believe he is God, Jesus will be revealed from heaven in flaming fire to take vengeance on those that *_do not know God, his Father,_* and obeyed not the gospel he has told us from the Father (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9). Knowing them both individually and personally is the only way into *_the Father’s [God’s] kingdom_* (John 17:3)
We appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. You are correct that he is the son of God however he has existed inside of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) for all eternity. We find evidence of this both in Genesis and in John. The trinity shows God as the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. All individual entities all one God.
Hi! Would everyone pray for me and Ar to help each other get closer to Jesus and for my family members (Ti, Le, Ili) to be born again Christians? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
why would people believe in something so depressing and time consuming? smh

Clearly you haven’t actually read the Bible. That book is full of contradictions and ridiculous myths borrowed from other sources.
Clearly you haven't researched past Reddit tier "contradiction" arguments, catchphrases and sky daddy memes. Try learning about the Bible from the people who believe the Bible, not those who will twist things to try to prove it wrong. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Hi there, my name is Shane. I’m the man in the video. And yes I’ve read the Bible, and Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I once had a hard heart, I was a skeptic too and recently became a believer. I pray that you come to know the truth about the Word of God. Once I learned about the true biblical Jesus, my heart changed and I have peace in Him. Take care my friend.
Well said.
That's called being a lukewarm Christian I true Christian lives as Jesus told us to live
Cultural Christianity and being lukewarm are different. A cultural Christian denounces Jesus is God but think the teaching is valuable. The problem is many Christians have adopted a similar way of thinking
@@tcpointman I am one and have never thought there were others who think as I do. God or no God, how it all began is equally the mystery I want to learn about. The USA recently was the best country on Earth. We weren't perfect, but we were the best. I think our Christian "culture" just works the best.
Not worth sharing
You did however take the time to leave a comment. Thank you for that. What is worth sharing is the Gospel and your testimony. I hope you have a great one Billie!

Not for believing in Christ tho he was beheaded because a woman danced a dance and the king promised her what ever she wanted
You are correct the direct cause of him being beheaded was because of the dance, but it was a consequence of his ministry
I didn’t know the camera got the back of my head 😂
Haha not the best room for a video set up but we will record barbarically
The back of your head looks ridiculous! 😂
Glory to God for your passion 🙌🏽 We need more men of faith with a mindset like yours 🙏🏽
Thank you. There are many men who genuinely care without a doubt, but we continue to pray for more.
I want to but dont feel like some churches are actually good in regards to the preaching and sense of community
The first step is to walk in and give one a try. It may take some time to find the one that is right for you but you have to start somewhere. The good news is you can read your Bible and study on your own to know if what they are saying is biblical and then you will know for yourself when you walk in if it is the community for you.
How do yall k ow your religions the right one though?
Through the time spent in study reflection and learning in the Bible and historical context, as well as through the movement of the Holy Spirit and our faith in a relationship with Jesus.
@@tcpointman what about the Torah or Quran?
@@openpepsican1357 there is no historical text that is corroborated to the extent of the Bible. The Torah is included in scripture as it is the basis for Mosaic law that sets the stage for the coming Christ
@@tcpointman But if the Bible was written by man how can you understand the notions of god? I understand the notion of follow Jesus’ example and what not but I doubt the rest of it because it was just written by man and edited over two millennia. Not trying to be rude here generally asking, I was raised catholic but the last time I’ve stepped in a church the president could form a coherent
@@openpepsican1357 the Bible tells us all scripture is breathed out by God. It was his divine revelation to man. A common misconception is that the Bible is a translation of a translation which is not true. Every Bible that is truly a translation goes back and re-translates the original text in the original language.

Its not just a logic thing there is so many inconsistencies and removals and changes that have corrupted the faith and hid important information with out those things intelligent people would believe it more beacuse as thoth says wisdom and knowledge are the most important thing
You lot seem like sensible christians. Care to help out a confused atheist? Little disclaimer, Im respectfully asking these questions with the sincerest of intentions. I do not wish to offend anybody, and apologies if I do so. So your god is the same god throughout all time right? Absolute and unchanging forever? Your bible is pretty clear about that. So why have your rules changed with time? Namely the more extreme ones like "If your child is unruly, drag them to the edge of town and stone them to death". Im paraphrasing of course, I dont own a bible to reference the exact quote, sorry. Though im sure if i searched, I could find others that would also work. Im really trying to understand this. If your god doesn’t change, why do your rules slowly change with the times if your God said themselves that they are unchanging? Another question I've had for a while now is, whats your religions honest view on gay people? Not you personally, what do your written rules dictate here? Ive come to understand that christians are supposed to be neutral on gay folks? Is that right? Like, you can't be gay, but you're also not allowed to hate gay people, cause that would defy the "love thy neighbor" bit. Right? Its quite confusing to me because a lot of Christians dont follow that? Im reffering to a large population of hardcore bible belt christians. They seem to absolutely despise gay folks. Is that not defying your own gods words? Do they have a different rule set then the rest of christians? Getting serious answers has been even harder, cause most people I've asked say I shouldn't question god, and to simply "have faith". Im not religious, so I do not have a frame of reference as to how these questions are received. I literally do not know if, or how offensive this is. Again I sincerely apologize if this angers folks. Im just looking for answers about Christianity from christians, as an atheist. Thank you in advance to anybody kind enough to answer me. Have a great day.
The Scripture you are referencing for punishment of Children is from Deuteronomy which is an Old Testament scripture. The Old Testament represents a time period before Jesus came and died for the sins of humanity. Because that is the case there is a series of laws and standards that are set forth for what would have been the Jewish faith and tradition. The main misconception that many have is that Christianity is about a set of rules that you have to follow. It does it a disservice to call it a set of rules and would be better suited by considering it a standard of living. Gods word does outline specific standards we are to live up to. Where in the Old Testament you do find a set of rules and regulations that the people of that time were bound to. God is unchanging but there was a great change for how we as humans interact with him with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The Bible is not neutral on homosexuality it defines physical relationships to be between one man and one woman inside of the confines of marriage. That being said the Bible calls on believers to speak that truth in love. As Christians our charge is to not compromise on the standard that God has set and the commandments he has given us while also doing so with love but no compromise.
@@tcpointman Firstly, thank you. That's been one of the clearest answers I've received so far. I really do appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to speak to me like a gentleman. Back to gay folks. Im not sure I really understand your answer. So, the Bible defines it as a man and a woman. Okay, I understand that much. Good. So then, what's the bibles actual stance on gay people? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Questioning? Neutral? This is where I start to lose ya. To help me out here, could you maybe explain Christianity's stance on gay folks in a simple sentence or two? Or even just one word if possible. Like just as blatantly as you can. I'd prefer if you did, as I don't mean to put words in your mouth. I ask cause with the info I've read, the general opinion doesn't seem particularly positive ya know? If it is an overall negative opinion, I don't quite see how the 'love thy neighbor' bit fits into that. I'm not perceiving that in any way other than a discrepancy. So there's definitely something I'm still not fully understanding here. Thanks again. I sincerely appreciate the info you've shared with me here.
Yup I am so close but there are too many questions left unanswered and because it know it requires faith I automatically fail at the basic premise of the religion. If I have to accept part of the Bible I must accept it all. Even my perceived flaws. When I ask biblical scholars and men of the church I never get an answer I only get that I need faith and bad things happen
Hey man continue to seek. The Bible answers both ends of this. First it says all scripture is breathed out by God. If you believe in God then it is a simple step to say that his word is inerrant and complete. Second it says “all things work together for the good of those that love God and are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28. If you are faithful and committed to the Lord the good the bad all of it works together for the good of Gods plan. Check out our conversation on Job for a little more detail.
There are answers my friend, you must seek them out. Lots of people base their faith in Christ blindly, but you do not have to. There are answers to your questions. We can have evidence that leads us to trusting in Christ
Nice hat bro....😂😂 Whats this, Douche Academy....😂

@@tcpointman yeah the world just needs one of these podcasts right now lol I dont know is it worse to be conservative or liberal podcast. Both is cringe in its own way. Just be normal ffs f your god and live your life like you want it.
Not liberal nor conservative in fact we don’t have a political ideology or affiliation in any way. We will continue to speak the word of God boldly as that is what we are called to do.
@@tcpointman oh im sorry, just add religious podcasts to the list in my comment.
Again we will continue to speak boldly the word of God. Even if you have no interest in a relationship Jesus which we will pray for, the point of the clip is to motivate men to do better and to be better to set the standard of their home so high by their actions that it elevates everyone in it.
Lies
Thanks for taking the time to comment. “Lies” however is vague, please elaborate if you want an actual dialogue about the historical relevance of scripture.
Let’s go!
Enjoyed watching and listening to your podcast. Looking forward to our first session of Point Man!
Hey Jim thank you for listening this is going to be an awesome semester of Pointman
Sure bud
I can forgive someone who sins against me. It’s when they hurt the people I love that it’s a real struggle. I wonder if that’s part of the deal? Is it my sin to forgive even if it wasn’t really against me but hurt me because it hurt someone I care about?
Feel that 100% slap me I'm cool talk to my people bad I can't promise hands won't fly
This is 100% how I feel most people say you're not forgiving the person who hurt you or your loved ones, you're forgiving them to let go of the pain in your heart, you will most likely remember what they did forever. But you will be free from that grudge and the heavy feeling in your heart, but I struggle with what you said so much, I can forgive anyone who does something to me but my loved ones it's so hard.
I’m not a Christian, but I interpret this as forgiveness in your own heart but not wiping the slate clean. Forgiving someone for hurting you or your loved ones doesn’t mean you have to let them into your heart, just that you need to let the burden out. In practice it’s SO hard though!
When we talk about forgiveness it sounds very transactional and to a degree there is a 1 to 1 transaction that occurs. The deeper thing we are dealing with is the condition of your heart and what is taking your focus. So whether it is against you or against someone you care about the condition of your heart and where your focus is, is why forgiveness is important as it would be for the person who was wronged as welll.
Nowhere in the bible does it say anything about this.
What isn’t in the Bible? The entire Bible points to the fact that we need a savior to deliver us from our sin in fact Romans 6:14 states “Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” Or Romans 6:18 “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” I recommend reading the whole chapter tho.
@@tcpointman I am talking about porn or depictions of it. Even back then there already were people writing things in that nature. Its all up to your Interpretation, really. Don't always listen to the big church, go and find your beliefs yourself through what you actually read.
@@tcpointman the bible is often quite different from what Christians actually believe. In the case of extramarital affairs, a baby can be aborted for example.
We can agree you should read the Bible and learn for yourself but if you do read the Bible it will address the items you are referencing as sinful. God lays out the standard for our lives through his word. “All scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for reproof, correction and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16
@@tcpointman I have read the Bible, old and New Testament. Multiple times probably. I grew up in a very religious household. Let me tell you: It is not in the bible. It is up to you to determine how to uphold your values. There are countless different Interpretations possible, not only yours. Please don't be close minded and read the bible yourself and draw your own conclusions, dont listen to preachers.
