use maplemaps to see the max range of dusk janus, it tends to target mobs far away as well

if i remember correctly, spark supposedly does more damage than quint (mobbing) so in theory would make it an even worse candidate. aside from that, the skill is so clunky no one uses it in genera so i'm not sure if it's weaker once you've leveled up quint more. You either were bite farming or spamming quint with GDS placed somewhere else.

common setups of [-cd/hexa bite level] to get bite cd to be <8, which is needed to press bite every wave

Correct me if I'm wrong. I think they mean, stronger skill kills mob too quickly, less amount of attacks are done. Therefore less bats spawn and less Dusk procs. Using a weaker skill such as lucky seven improves it for mobbing.

Spark is still helpful when you have very poor damage; it was quite useful when I was doing <50% FD in Odium. The skill macro still has problems with triggered dark sight. However, it is quite easy to forward jump attack manually with Momentum, and is useful in places like Black Mage.

no you don't, but -2 is recommended and -3 is extremely good. The lower the CD (-3) you can instantly kill mobs when they respawn, otherwise you are waiting time because cooldown is not up.

@@welshe222 I see 12s cooldown here, respawn is like every 7.5. I dont think its possible to respawn with skill as I believe its 15s start, not even -6s could do this. Or does 1 bite kill 2 waves? From the video I see many respawwns not be killed and skipped.

@@ClarkGMS Essentially you use a -3 helmet, this makes it to the point you kill the entire map, and the follow up is the things flying around killing stuff as well, so you kill two waves from the one attack, which is why you want the bats to be 1 hitting, so you can kill two waves every 12.5s or w/e, but if you get more than -3 cooldown (if you are insanely luckly) each extra -1 is i think 10%, so 12.5s - 10%, so it will become even faster but without totem you only need -3 hat maximum as less is essentially wasted, your bats need to 1 hit, and the skill need to 1 hit to be effective' oh and btw.. the 15 seconds on the cooldown is not actually 15 seconds, it shows 15 seconds, but you can reuse the skill after 12.5 seconds, (it will show 4s left on skill) but you still use the skill, test it out in-game and you will see what i mean :)

@@welshe222 thanks for explanation. I wanted to hyper burn a character but I want a lazy farmer class, and this seems like a very good option. I see limina rates only 11k per hour, but that was before erda summon, maybe erda can help push 12k or 12.5k mobs, which would be nice rates for afk farm.

@@ClarkGMS Bishop, Kanna and luminous are all good for essentially afk farming, this class is good, but its very map specific and without the helmet kind of annoying since it feels like the rate is slow, its insane with totem tho but you gotta pay per hour for a guy with a totem to come lol. If you want a cool and lazy class thats good at bossing id recommend looking at wind archer. Very fun.

bite farming is best with -3s, but iirc you cant really hold it down. imo the gains you get from going from 2-3s is not worth the 10b spent and also not worth losing out on being able to hold down bite

How long can we hold down?

quint does not only hit one mob. Quintuple Star is disjointed: each portion of it - the first four stars, the big star, and the shadow partner's copy - can hit separate mobs. However, this requires much more damage to do efficiently than with spark.

@@nwthrowaway3804 interesting. I always thought spark feels clunky, but i assumed it was best for mobbing because of monsters hit. If I can use quint instead I think I would prefer that.

So I made a NW for hyper burning and I am solely using quintuple stars for both mobbing and bossing. The reason why is that bats always proc now it isn't chance based.

NW is pretty good in Ignition. It's a more easy to get into cause sticky keys is no longer needed. Mobbing feels a lot better. Bossing is still good. I main a Shadower so I'm biased and think it's better. But NW is very solid and you won't have any problem with maining one. Im Hyper Burning a NW and it's gonna be a second main and it feels a lot better than it did in the past and is very good.

@@khangoan4808 Every class is good at everything if you fund it correctly. For instance, NL is really good if you fund it a lot and it is the best burst class in the game, but getting it to that point requires massive funding. Its mark is the weakest projectile-based attack out of all classes so for you to train effectively and efficiently you'll have to really fund it a lot. So it requires a lot of nodes and funding (also has no s). On the other hand Shad is pretty good for consistent dmg as well as a bit of a burst. If you like mini-bursts this is your class with Trickblade. The only thing is that you'll have to play with sticky keys to weave Meso Explosion and Assassinate together. With NW (I am maining it with hyper burning) it has a pretty good burst but off-burst it doesn't do much dmg (same thing with NL), it has more consistent dmg than NL when off-burst though. Overall mobbing with this class is easier than NL since the amount of funding to one-shot with bats is a lot lower than it is with NL's mark.

current BA increases: 10-15% full rotation on real bosses, especially with poor damage uptime / minion spawns, like darknell: 30%+
