DPF cleaning on a 2017 Peterbilt with a Paccar Mx-13
This is the first dpf cleaning for this truck with 477,000 miles at 22,000+ engine hours! Truck had no emissions problems or any lights on the dash.I do not claim to be a pro at emissions, but I have done quite a few. Iv learned all this by myself so if you see something that you learned or would do different let me know! My goal is to maybe help others with stuff like this and maybe learn more on the way, and save some people some money!

Dumbest fn thing I have ever experienced. A highly corrosive fluid being sprayed into and engine and components. Thanks EPA.

I'm dealing with what I think is dpf filter issues on my 17' 337 paccar px-7 new egr. New outlet nox sensor. Had fault code spm4364 fmi 31. Ran fine for couple weeks after and then red stop engine light came on and now have dpf fault codes

How long did it take you from start to finish to complete this task?

Maybe about 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours of my time. DPF baking comes back the next day. And computer work with forced regen about an hour.

On my car I just opened the cap on the bottle sucked out all the coolant into a clean bowl enough to ware the bottle was empty then I removed the upper lines that were overflow lines and then removed the line to the radiator and made sure too keep that hose up so nothing would spill out. Installed the new bottle installed all the hoses again and put the coolant I took out back in. It was pretty easy that way I didn’t really spill anything

Just did mine on a 2015 kw t680 and my inside top hose did not just simply and easily flow coolant, how or what made yours flow??? We ended up pulling the bottom hose and drained I'm guessing 8 plus gallons out into one of those giant hefty zip lock baggy meant for storing clothes or blankets....which worked decent and then used a cup to pour it back in.

Iv never had a problem with coolant not coming out of the house before? It’s doesn’t flow super fast just a nice slow flow.

Great timing! RUclips never stops amazing me at what all I can find to fix. My truck at work has sprung two leaks from the old coolant tank so they ordered and got in a new one in. But the mechanics have bigger jobs to work on than my truck. So tomorrow I'm gonna jump in and make this switch myself.....thanks to you taking the time to make this video. Greatly appreciate the help
