Replaced 6 of the 8 bulbs on the rear. 7506 x 4 whites - 2 reds and I “think” the running lights are 2x5008s

Out clutch pedal sucked and stuck to the floor. I’ve seen this before and knew it was a quick fix. Replaced the slave cylinder and we were good as new. Easy DIY job - easier for me with my lifts but you could do this with ramps - or in jack stands

@@csebb you won’t need to take the strut apart if that’s all you’re doing.

Investigating installing this unit into my 03 Porsche Boxster. Only other unit I'm considering is the Pioneer AVH-3500NEX. From what I understand this Power Acoustik unit offers wireless Android Auto.
@@LordToxygene it does. But plan on having an amp. The ONLY reason I went with this unit was to get a single din carplay unit - this was the only one I could find. I have this in two cars.

I love 924 porsche's I've had 2. What I dont understand is why you'd clean up old nuts and bolts, infact if the car's not for showing id replace the nuts , screws etc with stainless steel items. Unless it's in a high strength area, engine mounts etc.
@@lunalunatic1860 great question. A little bit of personal preference and from a pure figment standpoint - they fit a lot more snug without the rust on them. Also - fun fact - the evaporust continues to work if you don’t wipe the coating off so it’s a little added layer of protection.
Check your cruise control still works as it also relies on bulb resistance

I installed the led bulbs on the front on my 1986 Porsche 928s 32v for under $50. Also did the license plate but left the rear bulbs with the original bulb because of the dash warning light for lower voltage of the led
I did similar swap few years ago. The fast flashing is caused significant higher resistance of LED bulbs. The fix is to swap also flasher relay. Suitable relay is adjustable relay CF 14.

What is that component/sensor attached to the cross member that you removed at the beginning of the video? Is has a hose leading in and a hose leading out. Recently purchased a '79 928 and can not figure out for the life of what that is.
@@mhlavenka I am not positive. I need to research it. I was just thing not to break anything off of it 😂🙏
Ha! If you figure it out please let me know. There are so many hoses in this thing I'm struggling to keep up with everything.

I have a small terminal on my fuel pump relay it is tiny with 1 green wire going to it is this the earth or feed ..

@@HardwayLearning I was searching for “how to repair a plastic gas tank” and I came across 3 videos. Everything else looked completely wrong - harbor freight plastic welder - etc. this seemed like the most legit process to me.

@@nikoz4841 so far mine has been great. I just added another one to the Porsche 928. The thing I don’t like is it only has an internal microphone - and it’s aweful.

New one looks amazing! I can’t believe that fits in a single-height DIN slot, but here we are. By chance I was looking at vintage Pioneer KEX-23 radios on eBay yesterday, and reminiscing on my Dad’s one in his ‘79 Celica. I thought it was the bees-knees back then 😂 Just look where we are now - lol.
@@AlisonCassidy I installed one of these in the 924s I’m restoring and kind of got hooked on this little unit. The only downside is there is no remote - external microphone for hands free calling. There is one built into the unit. I will see if it’s any better in the 928 :)

2 questions, one; do you need the GPS antenna that comes with it? two; is the 3.5mm plug in the back for an external mic?
I’m using the GPS antenna. It works great. The one downside is there is no external mic input. :(
