Patient Testimonial - Endoscopic Brow Lift
In 2014 I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a tumor on my tongue and tonsils. I received 35 radiation treatments over the next two months. I am happy to say I have been cancer free since. However, about 12 months after I started to have spasms and cramps in my neck where I received radiation. I did mention this to my oncologist several times over several annual appointments. Nothing was ever done as in a continuum of care for fibrosis. Things have progressed over the past ten years, most significantly in the last 8 months. Symptoms include muscle atrophy in the shoulder, significant weakness in shoulder and arm, range of motion has decreased, and now I have a constant burning and numbness in my shoulder and down my arm. Until I watched this video I did not have a name for it. Now I need a diagnosis but can't seem to find a clinician to give one. If anyone can point me in the right direction. I live in rural Northern California. S.F is approximately 3 hours southwest. I was fortunate enough to get workers comp to except my cancer diagnosis and am now dealing with a broken system where they want to treat symptoms with shots and surgery?
Dr. Kessler, I was radiated in 1998 and am experiencing many of the effects you described in your video. Very well done, and I am delighted to find someone knowledgeable about my specific fibrosis. I live 50 miles north of Seattle, WA. Is there anyone in my area that you have trained? NJ is a long way to go, but I will do it if that is my best option.
Thanks to Dr Beadle for very informative presentation! For me, treatment has been "one & DONE" (a self-imposed deceleration), and i'm holding steady!!
Fascinating
My husband was treated by, and continues to see, Dr. Gensheimer. Mike is an amazing human and my husband was fortunate to have him on his care team. He was kind, he listened, he was professional and successful in treating his tonsil cancer. Can’t say enough good things about this guy! Stanford is lucky to have him!
Thank you mental health plays a big deal in reoccurrence cancers
