Tumua is the lookalike of her mum ❤. Gagau married Tuuu Vile Tofaeono of our village of Siumu. Their home at Siumu was located uphill on hhe left side right on the boundry line with Maninoa subvillage. I and your mum Tumua went to Siumu primary school and attended the same classes from 1973 until we both parted and entered college level forms 3. Tumua went to Levaula College Faletua while I [Peato Sanele Mikaele] and Paese [female] the top two of our form 2 class went to Samoa College. This video brings about precious and treasured memories of the old days school years as well as the memory of living together at Siumu. Fafo Aulalo was a good friend of mine from 1980 until they both left with Tumua for NZ in the late 80s. ❤ ❤ ❤ God bless.

I was born in American Samoa in the village of Fagatogo. I remember hearing about the Tumua Palace. The whole time I've been singing along to this I thought it was a love song about a couple from Western Samoa. I never would have thought the Tumua mentioned in the song was the Tumua Palace. I was 12 years old in 1978 so I've never seen it but I've heard stories about it from the Old G's. It gives me a deeper appreciation for the song knowing the history what it meant to Sanele. This song is more famous than the Vi'i of Samoa and the National anthem of American Samoa lol 😁😄😃🇦🇸🇼🇸🇺🇸

One of my favorite song of all time. Its a great song especially for all Samoan who are no longer residing in our country but living away from Samoa.

Max, thank you brother for sharing your fathers' stories with the rest of the world. I'm almost 50 growing up hearing my uncles playing their guitars and telling stories how the Tiama'a came to be. Never thought that I would hear from the man himself, he is a legend.

Let me say this one more time folks, this is my opinion, please you can't change anything about these songs and this is the reason why you can't butcher or dissecting these musics . All these classics were created from one of the best storytelling ,sharp mind, deep thoughts and true love architecture. Some stuff it's better to leave it alone, but if you want to sing it then keep it the way that should be I'm just saying though , but that's my personal opinion!!! Tiama'a Strong!!!

Fafo, thank you for proving the point that I was trying to let these new generations know that the Tiama'a classics are not supposed to be mess or temper with. These old school real music you have to keep it originality. These brothers were spending a lot of sleepless nights and putting in a lot of work from blood, sweat, and tears to create these amazing masterpieces that pierce through the heart and soul of our families and culture. Also, thank you for the wonderful memories and the true friendship, like the good Book says, The truth will set you free! One more thing, fellas out there like the Uso Fafo said, create your own songs take your own journey you have the God given talent, use it I'm just saying though, but that's my personal opinion and I believe that everybody's entitle to their own opinion!
