Please can you document with the PPE’s on?
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking here. The PPE you are using is gloves and apron.
@@lynjones3478I meant since the gloves have come into contact with the patient, won’t I be penalized for using it to touch the pen to document?
@Sandy_Cobbs no you shouldn't be. None of my candidates have been.
Hi can you an video regarding meds management and the midwife excemption. Ways we use it and how to prescribe and where to document.
@sadiyab2140 How it is documented will vary depending in the Trust you are working for. You will be guided by the Trust as to how you can use the exemptions as again it dies cary slightly from Trust to Trust
Can you do videos on all the modules for midwifery osce
Is it possible for me to write in points with no abbreviations as shown in the presentation instead of writing down stories as written in the scenarios, so that I can beat time
And also abbreviations like FBC, MSU, CTG...... Can I put them down in my planning station like this or I should write them in full?
You should be able to do that. As long as you get all the relevant information down. Remember this is marked so needs to be clear and legible and your plan needs to be evidence based and in line with current UK guidance.
@adebiyitomilayo2356 These are recognised abbreviations so should be okay but always better to write in full if time allows.
Thanks so much for this information. You're such a blessing to some of us. I'm also International midwifery . Preparing to write the OSCE soon. Your videos are so helpful. Please, do you do one on one OSCE coaching ?
@Veronicalartey-v6y I'm glad you have found them helpful. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by osce coaching but my next one will be the assessment station which may help more.
@themotivationalmidwife6977 Okay mummy, Thanks so much 🙏

In midwifery now they have cancelled neonatal glucose monitoring and replace with iv flush and vip score
Yes I know. I am in the process of updating the PowerPoint. But been busy preparing candidates for the OSCE at my Trust.
Hello Ellen can I contact you through your email about Osce. Also a Ghanaian midwife about to write Osce and need some tips. Thanks
Can you clarify the infant chest compression to breath ratio? Is it 30:2 for single resuscitation, 15:2 for two-person resuscitation, or 5:2? TQ for the explanation on rationale is superb!
"I cannot express enough my gratitude for your contribution. Your channel is truly an inspiration, and I am fortunate to have found it."
Thankyou so very much for your kind words. Much appreciated.
Thank u! ur sharing of experience makes ur presentation a memorable one!
Thankyou.
Thank you for your efforts. I find that you are very comprehensive compared to other channels. Your tips on SOMAD, Datix write-up, checking drug dosage with weight, explaining emergency procedures to mothers, and preparing each medication in separate dispensing cups have been very helpful in my revision. Ur voice is amazingly calming.
Thankyou so much for your kind words. Much appreciated. Good luck with your OSCE.
Please note that from June 2023 extra skills stations have been introduced and the timings for some stations have changed. Please always check with your OSCE Centre.
Helpful Thank you
You are welcome
Thanks for all you do. I have a question on the MEOWS chart. If your results trigger 3 ambers, what is your frequency of observation
Your meows chart should tell you on the back how to proceed based on your findings. However 2 or more Amber's should be at least every 30 minutes. Having said that, you should always look at the whole clinical picture and if you are concerned about the condition of your patient I would repeat in 15 minutes.
@@themotivationalmidwife6977 Many thanks. Well done for all you do. God bless
Thank you! verry helpful.
I'm glad you found it useful
This is really helpful. Thank you so much
You are welcome. Its worth checking the new NIPE handbook as pathways have altered slightly from April 1st.

Hi Are you doing any training for OSCE , Pls let me know I really need help with it because my trust is not doing any.
I am sorry this is not something I do at the moment as I prepare our candidates at the Trust I work for. I would suggest that you approach your practice development team for some support in preparing for the osce. It is also important to download the resources from the test centre that you are booked with. I will look at putting on a live Q&A session which may be of help.
Thankyou so much for answering. I am looking forward for Q/A session hope it will be helpful.
This detailed examination has given me confidence , knowing I can do the NIPE during my OSCE. Thanks so much.
