Hey my lovely, I totally agree, we’ve been inundated with information, ideas, other people’s definition of what is right to do and what our path should look like, even before phones. I think we just have to be really careful that we never take online content of other people’s lives and success at face value. There is always a different reality behind the camera, even in my videos! My week might look really fun, but a lot of it I’m sat on the sofa on my laptop in pyjamas, with not much food in the fridge and slept in late lol. I don’t work full time at the moment because I don’t have many bills or responsibilities and I wanted to prioritise time with family and being available to them more often. I don’t regret that one bit. If you feel your quality of life is affected by your work, I love the idea of finding something less demanding whilst is serves you. The more time you have to focus on you and things you’ve never had time to do before, the more attuned you’ll feel in the future towards making decisions that are rooted in what YOU want 🩷 My only advice is, if you know you want to do something from a place of genuine intrigue and value to yourself, it doesn’t matter what other people feel towards it. It’s your decision and if it doesn’t impact people beyond you in a negative way, tune them out until you reap the benefits. I have no clue if that’s helpful or even answers your questions, I had to ignore slight criticisms from family in the beginning and over time they now have Admiration for the fact I did/do things differently! Xxxx

@@Ella-fg7vn oh my gosh this came up for me this week too! This over dramatisation of the need to go travelling at this stage in my life. It actually doesn’t appeal to me with a low amount of savings. I’d prefer to do well thought out holidays at the moment. In the future, if we want something enough, we can plan for it and work towards it, but this rushed and excessive approach to life isn’t necessary!! So so true. I’m really glad you relate and don’t feel pressure to do things that other people deem important. Xxxxx

The economy and social media is making it really difficult to build connections and relationships and to buy a property now, the average age is 30+ to buy a first home. It doesn’t feel great, but it’s not in our control entirely. I really hope you discover something wonderful this year that fills you with some joy ❤❤ whether that’s a new place, friend, partner, hobby. You deserve to enjoy your everyday 🥰x

I felt the same, really was like a flip and everything felt weird. I think when we care for ourselves and those around us and making the right decisions - creates a lot of pressure. @ yep I agree! I work in the fitness space :) I have a science degree but decided sport was my passion once I finished uni and went in that direction. Though now I’m questioning if I should use my degree because it’s the ‘better thing to do’ or whatever. It’s hard working for yourself because you decide how much you’ll grow in your role, so it’s very much up to us which can be very over whelming. I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s an age where everyone is at different stages and sometimes our own paths look questionable.

It sounds as if 2024 was a year of purging and stripping it all back. Feeling insecure and unsettled has such a big hold day to day, it’s so hard to be positive and to move forward with things. Maybe 2024 was a year of realisation for us and 2025 will be grounded action for all we’ve learnt. I hope we both have a year of honouring our souls dreams instead of feeling as though our soul is screaming at us!!! Thank you for your words, it’s comforting to know someone relates 💖
