I was in university of Bradford 2009 to 2011. Loved it there. I lived on campus in my first year but it wasn’t this nice as The Green.

Anyone starting this year?

The management at the Maltings did a terrible job at handling multiple students situations during the ongoing pandemic. First year students/students looking for accommodation, be very wary when trusting the property management in regards to finance. They have chosen to only refund SOME students, not all - despite the fact that students have been kicked out of their own room & have been denied entry by deactivating fobs (that they paid for) in the midst of COVID19. When students asked the staff who were present there at the time why they weren't allowed in, they gave no answers and turned them away. They really think that because Colchester is a small town that they can get away with scamming students. How sad.

A horrendous company with an unfathomably poor response and gross miss-handling during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. University's across the United Kingdom have ensured that students not living in their accommodation in the third semester will have to pay. Homes for Students have responded as follows: - Abysmal communication between the Head Office and Housing Staff. - Minimal communication with tenants (first email being sent out 3 weeks into the pandemic). - Refusal to grant students either i) reduced fees ii) or the same policy as university - Blatant ignoring of emails (replies have been few & far between with nothing more offered than what is featured on their Covid-19 web page, in itself useless).
