Na een recente gig in het JazzRock Café Metropool kwamen drummer Mick Gravéé en bassist Daniel van der Molen naar mij toe met de mededeling dat hun droom het oprichten van een topband is die de allermooiste fusion songs uit de jaren 80 en 90 gaat spelen. Ze wisten natuurlijk donders goed dat dit ook mijn droom is. Binnen anderhalve dag was deze band met de naam Mr. Fusion een feit!
En dat was eigenlijk ook geen wonder, immers de meeste studiomusici die ik ken zijn destijds naar het conservatorium gegaan om juist díé mooie fusionsongs te kunnen spelen.

Roland werkt op dit moment aan zijn eerste cd en ik kan zeggen dat ie geweldig wordt. Op 22 januari 2023 liet Roland samen met het Simon Oslender Trio en Martin Verdonk zien wat hij in huis heeft. Het was echt geweldig.

Great, but the piano could have been louder in the mix. Unfortunately, this is very often the case: the guitar gets loud and the keyboards are turned down. Even with Simon Oslender!

Ole is absolutely NOT a “Christian rocker”. Have you bothered to even look at his extensive back catalogue? And he also shouldn’t be categorised with the ever so slightly dismissive phrase “Well another…” This dude marches to his own beat and is probably the most underrated musician and vocalist on the planet. Your opinion is your opinion and has validity for that reason. Just don’t happen to agree with it, that’s all
I've listened to so called 'Christian rock', didnt like it. Then along came Ole with the most uplifting truthful words to dance to whilst waiting for the apocalypse. He makes me feel like i actually have a friend, and above all things - I guess through Jesus Christ's choice himself - Ole has made me feel good about myself again, happy even, whilst the world lies dormant and miserable.

Wish Ole would tour America! Unfortunately the majority of our population probably wouldn't even understand the musical genius they're listening to 😢. I'd give my arm to see Mr. Borud live, just can't afford a ticket to Europe to see it! Keep making music Ole, you've got at least one fan across the Atlantic! 😅
Hi Brett, I admit your fear that most of the people over there won't understand the genius they're listening to. Fortunately over here it is a bit better, but to sell out more than one concert is also difficult. I hope we can have Ole back here at the end of this year. I have one advice: listen to the brilliant cd's of Tomi Malm. You will love it!
