The breath is unsupported, which was Sutherland’s strongest point. Funky intonation. Sounds like a pop singer in the phrasing. This is the winner???
I agree, and not to be divisive... I felt she sang very small and restricted... Even though she's singing just with piano, I would rather hear full voiced pianissimos, rather than an unreleased jaw. Unfortunately, the kind of singing we're getting as a rule these days. Just my opinion!

Angela Bender this is Bellini, in this aria you are not supposed to use chest voice, and I guess she is a soprano lirico leggero or just one of the two, so she has the right resonance in the low notes for her type of voice

creo que la abertura de su boca en ocasiones es nula, emite notas con la boca muy poco abierta. Tiene una hermosa voz solo ese detalle.
La boca no tiene que estar muy abierta para que salga el sonido apropiado. Todo lo contrario, el abrir mucho la boca es una nocion muy equivocada de la emision del sonido, y en ocasiones es fatal
