Controlling After-Run Pump with Ignitron ECU
Просмотров 11221 день назад
Short Video to show my setup to control the After-Run, or Coolant Pump with the Ignitron ECU. Not for everyone, but not my daily driver anymore. This keeps the After-run pump from running when you just turn the key switch on.

Will this work for 2012?
2012 must be different but I have no idea...sorry. You could look for the parts to see if they are similar.
Best video on SAI removal in RUclips, thank you!
great video!
So apparently I can use any cable to communicate as long as I use an OTG cable at the tablet. Somehow that sets up the tablet as a host or sets direction transfer of data. Not sure if it is the tablet due to only having one USB port, or it is the version of windows. I never had an issue with the older laptop.
You still get a low flow error from missing SAI pump, so if you have inspections where you are, that gets you a fail ya?
No..I program the error out and have a classic plate, which means no emissions testing.
Thanks sir this was helpful
Great video. Is it possible to just switch it off without removing it? It makes a real racket when I start up compared to other cars in my street! :D
You could try disconnecting the pump itself to see if that is making the noise, they do fail from time to time.
@@videonow32 thanks. Won't it suck air into the engine? Or do you mean the power supply to the pump?
@@darrensurrey I would think just the connector to the large pump, I would think it is the only thing that would make noise. It will probably throw a code...but not one that should affect anything.
@@videonow32 perfect. Thanks!
I totally got the 3 exact F's you pointed out. That's wild.
I had to rewind to make sure it wasnt a trick
Looks great! How did the brake lines hold up? I’ve had a TIP wear through a brake line before, did the rubber work?
It had a tendency to slide, but yes it worked as long as I kept it in place. I have since replaced it with another turbo setup....thanks.
currently I have a broken hose on the bottom of the vac. canister and considering doing this delete. What is the benefits/downfalls or main reasons of doing these delete?
I also have this exact car, 03 225
No down fall that I can think of, but you will have some codes which will need to be programmed out. My car is now mainly for Autox so I did it to remove weight.
So i can just cut all the lines and plug them all? Or do i need some lines still?
If you watch the whole video you will see some get completely removed...some get capped off.
Hello, what is the name of the program you use to erase the fault codes, can you give me the name of the program and the version of the program. greetings
I used Eurodyne Maestro when I was doing this. It was added to a stock ECU, but then you do need a tune. I now have a standalone ecu from Ignitron....love it..
hello i have a 2005 audi tt with the same BEA engine code as yours and am wondering what the PCV valve is for and where that line runs to and if its possible to delete it. The one you talk about at 1:42
I have since deleted most of my PCV system, except for the hockey puck, including that valve and put in a Catch can.
@@videonow32 Can you do a tutorial for installing a catch can on this car? The PCV system on the BEA motor has a completely diffrent layout compared to all the other engines.
@@rektominus3637 Yes...the BEA is different. I put in a catch can on mine and just put it in between the valve cover and Hockey puck PCV valve. Really not much to it, I kept everything else. So valve cover to catch can inlet and catch can outlet to the hockey puck valve.
Just subscribed makes me feel like I’m back in school lol everything explained in great detail man really appreciate it
LOL...I used to write procedures for an engineering firm and did some instruction also...thanks
Great video! Thank you for all the detail and the pictures.
can you please link to where to get the parts? the resistor plug and the blanking plug

Thank you for the information brother!!

I have an 04 bea and what an interesting project this is. Btw toss that cross pipe. Mines been off for at least 10 years, it was a huge nightmare to work around By "structural " i think they mean "things are bolted to it"
Thought about it, but have been told it is structural, and I have removed the crash bumper...thanks

Thank you for this nice explanatory video...I am in the process of removing the N249 audi tt mk1 150 hp from 2001 but I have this little hose which is used for the N112 which I have not yet removed and which is on the circuit of the N249 I don't know what to do if I have to block it or connect it in Y on the N249 bypass DV hose to emission collector please?
Can you advise at what distance the vent was cut into the hood from front catch and size of opening for both vents. Thanks
Will this work for 2001 TT 1.8 FWD
Yeah the intake manifold is just flipped around, SAI pump should also be easier to access without the crossover pipe
Great video finally shows how to properly do it for USA 🇺🇸 models …this is a complete delete … all those other videos are not …..thanks fir sharing this man 👨

There is a slightly corrected version of this video, showing the V114, Leak Detection Pump, that was not mentioned in this video...ruclips.net/video/XUkTm_YYVXY/видео.html thanks to lkz6696 for the heads up
I've never seen a 500A FET switch for controlling DC motors. Where can I buy them
Yes, anything that large would be custom made, normally. What most companies do is use several FETs in parallel, that way they can share the current. So if you use 5 100A FETs in parallel you essentially have 500A capacity.
How was you able to use your low speed fan settings on the cooling fans ?
Sorry, I don't understand your question. I didn't do anything with the cooling fans, they work as usual.
More please!!!! Thank you!
What would you like to see?
I believe what you are calling the "V114 leak detection pump" is actually the EVAP canister purge valve N115. The leak detection pump (V144) is on the right side of the car under the front wheel arch. Have you looked under the right front wheel arch? It's another item to delete. (There are 2 EVAP purge valves, N80 next to the vacuum canister and N115 next to the charcoal canister).
Thanks...you are correct, what I called the V114 is the N115, thanks for the correction. I will have to search for the other parts to remove them also....Just got a chance to remove that whole thing. Not sure yet if it sets a code, which it probably will. May have to defeat it with Maestro...thanks for the heads up !!
"fault codes CARB type" doesnt show up in my software and the code im looking for isnt under the regular fault codes tab. would this be for different cars or was it removed?
Did you add a resistor to the leak detection pump connector or just leave it unplugged?
Sorry, the leak detection pump is actually purge valve, N115, that I just left unplugged. I just found out from another viewer that the leak detection pump is up front under the wheel well on the passenger side. Not sure yet how to defeat it. Hope to correct and modify the video....just ran the car, no codes, but I had turned everything for the EVAP OFF. The LDP has three contacts, not sure how you would resistor it out. Two leads go to the pump.
Great video! You mentioned that you installed a catch can. I have a BEA engine as well and wondering where I should connect the brake servo line to when I install the catch can? I am also doing an sai delete and eventually an evap delete to.
Good
Didn’t know you were in the Facebook group lol. Video was great, very detailed where other peoples videos weren’t

can u teach more on meastro tuning i would love to learn more tricks ///
Wish I could. I am not an expert tuner, just found some things I could do myself..
Thank you!
Nicely done. I appreciate the creative use of slides on what is a detailed subject. Please do more! Specifically I would love to know the impact of overvoltage on series wound DC motors for EV conversions.
Fantastic video. Glad to see that it can be done on LHD cars. Hopefully it will be a similar process on my AMU! Thanks!!
What is the largest DC motor fitted in Forklifts?
Sorry, I do not know that, but most now are using AC motors.
Which forklift motor type is recommended for an EV conversion project on a 3000 # vehicle?
Everything is going AC motors. That would be your best choice.
sick video I love it! I have the same engine code and year. that little check valve comes off the brake booster system, seems like a bypass out a three-way valve that feeds of the manifold and feeds the brake booster. am guessing is a relief for when the pressure isn't needed, all the other engine codes the brake booster if fed off of the manifold directly without said relief system am doing a PCV, SAI, N259, N112 delete right now I want to simplify the hoses in the engine bay. am kind of wondering if it is needed or if I can hose directly to the brake booster with no problem...
Yes, I recently went to a different setup with a larger turbo, we decided to eliminate it.....no issues so far...
