Excellent interview and I thoroughly enjoyed it! If Captain Greer was a history professor, I'd be in the front row every class. As a side note, this was timely for me because I'm also reading Life on the Mississippi. About 3/4 of the way through now and enjoying that too. Thank you both for doing this one and I look forward to the next (I'm a bit behind on viewing.)
Good to see you Capt.
Love the river, '70s took 2 trips with Capt. Wagner on the Delta Queen. Hoping she gets back in service. Took many trips on the ADMIRAL and PRESIDENT in St. Louis. Always wanted to work on the river, but, alas, didn't happen. Best of luck!
Great interview! Capt. Rudy is a good storyteller - very interesting.
Hi Tim one of the better interviews loved it
Yessir. I enjoyed it too. Thanks as always
These guys have some great stories, thanks for giving them a broader voice!
Yessir. Happy to have you aboard
Glad to see Charlie is looking to get some help. I know it’s a rough road on your own. He’s a great guy, I enjoyed working with him immensely and he taught me a lot. He’s a really good teacher.
All the best Charlie im glad you are progressing along your journey. Take Care and we are all hoping to chat to you again soon. Happy New Year
Thank you so much for sharing this update. I’ve been thinking about Charlie alot & wondering how he was doing with rehab. What a relief to know he’s clean & sticking with it. I hope & pray things continue on this positive path for him. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard this must be for him, but kudos to him for working hard to beat this, hopefully once and for all. Cheering him on with love from Illinois ❤
I think this is a really cool thing you've got going on. I love shining lights on industries like this. Drone Photo/Videography lends itself well to it. Ill check out more of your content! Anything I can do to help let me know!
I'm thinking about a new intro video for the show. Maybe we can make something work.
@@WhereYatStudiosLLC sounds good sir, just let me know if I can help ya!
We appreciate you too! I’ve never been in the industry- I’m simply a lover of towboats & the Mississippi & Illinois Rivers. I’ve learned much from your podcasts & enjoy “meeting” the people you interview. Happy Holidays to you & keep on keepin’ on in 2025 😊 Looking forward to learning about another branch of the tree.
Thank you, ma'am. Stay tuned 🙂
Maybe I'll have you on one of these days
@ 🤣
@@WhereYatStudiosLLC If I ever get down there to visit my brother, I’d love to meet you.
If you find yourself anywhere near Baton Rouge, let's plan on it
Miss his channel so much. Ben watching him from the beginning.
No shortage of controversy with Doug. Make for interesting content. Would like to see more, if he has time, and a platform.
Capt. Greer, you are a ray of hopeful light in this unsettled and often dark world. Thank you for being YOU.
What happened to the sv seeker RUclips channel? I just remembered about this build and tried to search it.. didn’t pop up 🤔
Community guidelines violation or something. Not sure yet
But you sold your home
Keep fixing it !! Some day it may sail
27:30 is he really trying to infest florida with kelp? that sounds illegal and ecologically devastating
No idea on the details of that project, but I doubt very seriously Bill intends to "infest" Florida waters with kelp
Doug is awesome, thx for the video!
Doug pulled his RUclips channel sv seeker. Anyone know why?
I guess he was reported one too many times for whatever reasons, undisclosed product promotions, safety, jokes Just guessing from the butthurt comments he got under every video. Hopefully it get sorted out, Doug is awesome!
Nothing yet for news...Doug and gang on FB will keep us updated soon enough.
Looks like he was de-platformed for going against community standards
@@WhereYatStudiosLLC yup just seem that he'd dropped YT. Shame, I had been following and watching since he started folding in the side sheet metal!
@@davidmason5163 bizarre timing. I just did this podcast with him hoping to attract some of his YT audience, and heeeere we are
Always enjoyed working with Doug. Learned lots.
Congrats Ray Ray!!! We are very proud to have him on our team at Broussard Brothers Inc!!!
Interesting interview. Proud of you Captain Dennis.
WE KNOW
Yoooo capt dennis ya know
Hey Tim that was a good video Miguel sounds like a Mate any Captains would love in there crew.
Miguel is one of the best mates I’ve ever worked with. Quick learner, great attitude. He will make a great captain someday. Very proud of him and his progress.
Miguel was a great student with a great attitude. He worked hard and had unbelievable integrity for such a young man. I’m incredibly proud of what he achieved and I’m sure he will never stop achieving well done mate. I’m very proud of you. 👍Ged ⚒️
Pulling for you, Charlie ♥️
Make that new guy, Charlie. And I hope you get a dog. I think that’ll be a huge help in your detox & recovery. Cheering you on - you have many people that care deeply for you. Tim, thank you for staying in touch with Charlie, for him and for us.
Number one she had a license, number two she had navigation skills and river knowledge of several rivers, number three she had communication, personnel, and general boat handling skills.....I say "had" because these are the things the management team was considering when making her the offer. She is very intelligent...that is obvious just from listening to her speak...knowing what happens to wires holding the tow together as the boat goes up and down the river can be taught...easily...just my thoughts on why she was able to get to the front of the line when there are several deckhands wanting to get into the steersman program. With the explosion of the towboat industry in the early/middle 70's guys spent very little time on deck before going to the wheel house....there was not much of a steersman program back then.
Slowly getting caught up on podcasts & just finished this one. Feel so bad for Charlie for how the VA let him down & made things worse. Sounds like getting a support dog would be a great idea. Hate to hear such defeat in his voice. Wish there was something I could do to help. Don’t give up, Charlie.
Thanks for staying tuned. Please check out the next two with him. We're on the upswing again
@@WhereYatStudiosLLC I was hoping the next two would be more positive. Still catching up! Thank you 🙂
Keep strong Charlie hopefully the pathway forward has some bright spots for you. Thanks Tim
Good job John capt leo

Where are you running these days? Still posting pilots?
@@WhereYatStudiosLLC Still posting up guys. The boat is at 132 on the Lower right now. Be heading back north later this week I think. Home until Thur .
@@Davwbs Roger that
I liked the reverse interview by Leighton at the end! The role of dispatchers is interesting-would like to learn more. I’m also interested in learning about what a Port Captain does on a daily basis. Thanks for another great interview.
I'll see what I can do. Thanks as always 🙂
We're sort of the conductors of an ever-changing set of symphonies... and our decisions can mean the boys and girls out there have a lot more to do to make it all happen. It's easy to click buttons and send emails. Not so much out there on the water.
