EDM in Kpop: Subgenres and examples
I made this video in an attempt to educate kpop fans a little more about the different subgenres of EDM or Electronic Dance Music. As the disclaimer says, I'm not an expert and some may not be 100% accurate.
I also made this so kpop fans would realize that some songs are not being "plagiarized" when they share some sounds, beats or rythms with other songs. Sometimes they just happen to be of the same genre/subgenre.

I am curious as to how you labelled most of these songs as belonging to a certain sub-genre. Many were wrong. Some that were correct though were sub-genres that most people haven't even heard of. Got the easy ones wrong and the ones that you would expect very few to know you got right. Interesting
Oh interesting, well I just tried to do my research, origins, references, etc., and listen to as many examples of each genre as possible to get an idea of how they sound. I know I fucked up big time with Electro House since that was an easy one, but may I know which other easy sub-genres I got wrong?
Violeta Hate And the three from the "Electro House" selection A tip in identifying which is what : Tempo Chill Step, Drum&Base and Psychedelic being dead giveaways, for example. Then match the tempo with the Sound, in the drop that is. Some sounds are Native while others are merged as you may have noticed. Melodic Dubstep often has Trap elements. Progressive House may have Tropical House elements. A song with violins will still be a trap song if it has a trap drop
