Why this DJI guys are keeping their mouth shut..disgusting

The Phantom 4 Pro has a very good camera, but a poorly designed gimbal. For this reason, motors fail very often. DJI needs to release the Phantom 5 with a robust gimbal that can withstand heavy weather conditions.

Would just like to say thank you for posting! I was trying to do a lightsaber send off as well, but discouraged by the cost of buying so many sabers for guests. I didn't even think about just giving the bridal party sabers and everyone else glow sticks!

Damn. I am having the same problem and I have only taken off once in my back yard and flown over my garden for a few minutes. Just updated the firmware and now, just sitting here at my computer, I am also getting this Gimbal Overload notice on my V2.0. I have had the thing literally just a few weeks. Nothing is obstructing the camera, it does not rub on any ribbons, no bits of tape or plastic in the left and right axels. It stays steady, pans up and down smoothly. All seems to work fine except for the warning.

did you ever solve this ? i happen to be having the same thing pop up with mine

I’m having the same problem! Were you able to find a fix? I can’t seem to find anything on the internet or RUclips. Please share if yours is fixed! For everyone else, my problem is not the ribbon extruding too far and I’m almost positive it’s not the gimbal arm. I’ve calibrated the IMU and everything else that allows calibration. Trying to avoid sending back to DJI for a costly repair when I can fix it myself. Thanks!

It gets stuck on the ribbon behind the camera.

The photographers seemed unintrusive, but they captured great highlights. It was a joyful celebration.

@joeSIRCY - I actually did try that too, no difference- I called DJI and they walked me through their list of troubleshooting and finally I had to sent it in- I think it was just a defect in the gimbal
