I like the podcast!! I wish we had something similar for SE Florida surf fishermen! New subscriber here…
All things 'Kingfish'! My next goal is a surf/jetty King! 🏝 🐟 🏝
...wow, it did. Great guest!
It seems to me like podcast in just another way of saying, "we are going to pretend to do a radio show while doing a RUclips video. Which may or not be actually uploaded in audio format to the internet. But rarely actually happens." And making a guest introduce himself? I hope this gets better...
Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks to all the captains that share on the podcast. I moved to the coast about 8 months ago with only fishing freshwater my whole life. When I first moved here I didn't have any luck but after listening to every inshore podcast about 5 times each not only have I leveled up but I'm confident enough to fish tournaments now. So thanks to the captains and thanks to Gary for asking the right questions!!
Don't fish Bath. It's not worth the trip. No trout around whatsoever!!! Lmao. If you do find em, they're all dinks.
Pungo Baby......
Good interview!
Rockfish limit need to be increased
Thought trout but heard zip
Great video
what are the best colors for the Hatco 220? Also, do you use other sizes like the 190?
This MFer spittin! Thoroughly enjoyed. Very apparent zach is well researched and a master of the craft. I fish in a different SE NC river system and he described my favorite locations and tactics to the t. Very easy to transfer this info to other areas
Speckled sea trout is the most popular game fish in the state of North Carolina real close to Red Drum
good stuff
Zach whats your opinion on the mr 37s
Great job , Gary and Arlin !!!!
Great video,lots information.Thanks !
I was a mate in the Hatteras charter fleet in the early 2000's and I can tell you unequivocally that black/purple got more wahoo bites than any other color combo, especially on a planer. I used to tie a witch with a black & purple squid under black & purple hair with purple mylar flash on it and would pull that thing on a planer. I had days where that thing would get 14-16 bites. I did find that it worked better on a planer, up on top blue & white worked the best. I caught a fair amount of them on pink as well but didn't think it worked nearly as well as some people seemed to think. Biggest wahoo I ever caught was caught on a blue & white islander fished shotgun down the middle.

Hope you never stop doing these podcasts. I moved to the EI about 8 months ago with only fishing freshwater my whole life and this podcast along with one or two others have allowed me to learn so much in this short period of time that I'm confident in fishing the local tournaments. So thanks Garry and thanks to all the other captains who come on the podcast and also give the fishing reports Tight lines🤙
Glad you're enjoying the podcasts and reports. We are looking for someone to help out with our video reports, so please contact the Fisherman's Post office and provide your contact info if you have any interest in learning more.
@FishermansPost ok cool. I'm definitely interested!
How long do you leave a cut bait before you change it out ?
Thanks Capt Rob, excellent presentation!
Good podcast. Keep them coming gary
Rod where do you mount the power pole on your kayak
guys on the piers in the 70s and 80s use to cut into pieces put lemon juice on it and ate it.
Wish more people ate shark. Bonita are gross but shark can be very good w tons of meat. Here in Charleston, their population is out of control
I enjoyed every minute of this podcast - Thanks Captain Dave!
Good podcast. I've watched about 5 times now
Just found this episode. Really a great subject.
Thank y'all for asking me to speak!
Matt what is the name of your charter
Nevermind I see it now, thanks
What are yall putting on a hook that will stay on after putting everything into a cast???
Not setting the hook when using slip cork, offset hook or circle hook is key. I had to learn that from experience unfortunately... good stuff!
Been out with Gary twice this season, with an Oct date on the books. Gary's a great guide, for both experienced anglers and beginners.
Love the liquid fire family.
Awesome content. Thanks guys
Ability to read the water is vital. I’ve got to learn more.
Awesome podcast. Every single question I had was answered
Great job Gary!
Wow. Just plain WOW. I learned more watching this video than any other. Now I have several bad habits to work on.
This was amazing!!
Hello, old friend! Enjoyed the show.
holy mackerel!
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Lots of good info. Heading to Oriental then end of August to fish and hoping this will help in my Big Drum fishing.
how will all the fresh rain water from Debby affect the fishery?
Not at all. They come to spawn; how far will be between New Bern & Oriental based on salinity.
