I thought about doing this mostly just to be able to bin the lame petrol gauge, but this looks quite complicated and I wonder whether I could stuff up the coding. Plus, not sure I have all the necessary packs on the car, ours only has the basic satnav centre screen. Cheers for video though

noooo why did you upgrade to the new digital one? i drove a few mini's with that and it's soo blurry, really doesn't match the BMW ones, or did they upgrade that? is it sharper now? that's one thing that really annoys me. i really prefer the analog one.

Hi Troy, the guide on the forum does not cover all situations… some cars have no HUD. So they will not see the kombi directly…that requires way more steps. And you need to disable update msm vcm to make sure the changes like the new date will not be written to the car. Just warn people before posting esys tutorials. With esys you can potentially brick the car if you do not know what you are doing.

I did a little more research and understand that there are many different Digital speedometers with different product numbers of BMW MINI and each is pre-configured/tuned to a certain model/engine/fuel type of the MINI Cooper. Apparently the Part# 62105A189C9 is suitable for my "B38 Petrol MINI Cooper CountryMan F60".Hope the info helps others searching this matter.If one to buy a model that is not preconfigured to their car, they may end up having to do more tweaks on the coding to get it to suit. The cheapest place one can get the parts is currently on BMWPARTSWORLDWIDE website.
