The West Coast Kustoms memorial weekend is one of the top events of the car show season. Cars that tour the show circuit make this event due its tradition as a claissic venue. The cruise is like the opening parade ushering in the customs.Broadway blvd. begins to line with spectators claiming their seats in preparation for the cruise. This is one of the top shelf car shows that includes a gathering of the foremost creators in the field, pinstripes, car culture vendors, and fans that come from all over the world to attend. One of my best memories and most fun shooting videos is during the time when the cars are released from the show grounds. I pick out one of the prime exits and let the cars come to me as in the Friday night cruise only there arn't the crowds to deal with. Also, the cars are on a slow taxie like pace and close enough to shoot as if they are still in the show. And again, no crowds. Can't get them...

Great cruise, a friend was there with a dark green "49 Merc chop top, They should do a cruise with the Wheels and Waves car show down in Santa Barbara, but they closed State st down town and made it for pedestrians only and they want to narrow the rest from 4 lanes to 2 lanes, it's getting crazy. It was way more fun and convieniant when it was open with 4 lanes.
