I get what you're saying but personally I really dislike blanket statements like "near death experiences are a blessing in disguise." I'm sure there are people who have ptsd who would disagree. Even if it's an opportunity for growth and self-reflection, personally if I could go back and you gave me the choice between doing it all again or going on like normal and remaining ignorant, I would choose ignorance every time. I met a guy in school who 3d printed his own prosthetic arms, and I was blown away. Not only by how freaken well they worked but also how cool they were! It's crazy how far prosthetics have come, also being able to accessorize your prosthetic is super freaken cool.
