Just love this program. It’s the greatest ✔️

The old series is my all-time favourite TV series- this new series is a cheap imitation- just a soap opera, very little to do with the books. So very disappointing!!! The characters are unrecognizable, there is little to do with animals, Siegfried is a cranky joke! And who is this Mrs Hall supposed to be?? Very disappointing!! Watch the old series,and you will see something worth your time!

The minor characters fill out a family, a village and I just love Richard & Jenny Alderson and, of course, Mrs. Pumphrey.

Am currently watching the entire series again.. For a 2nd time.. I am a South African and just. LOVE the stunning villages and history of the entire UNITED KINGDOM.. It is truly beautiful and restores my soul every time anyone posts walk abouts.. The places are truly picturesque and refreshing.. Thank you so much for sharing.... It takes one back to a bygone age of peace and tranquility in a world gone crazy, when live was hard but simple.. If I ever can afford it, it is my hearts desire to actually visit and explore such places...

What town is this for real? It's not Thirsk, Alf Wight's real hometown. Both are quaint.

I am too young to remember those times in the 1930s; but I do remember the 1960s and 1970s. A lot of people will vehemently disagree with me, but I do have a nostalgia for the days of my youth. Life really wasn't as pleasant or as simple as I am remembering it; we had problems then too. But, nevertheless, there was a lot more of people knowing one another and going out of their way for one another. It was a time when people had more true contact and communication with one another and if the opportunity was taken, life could be enjoyed. You definitely could get all you needed to live just within a short radius of your house. As a boy, I sold our extra garden produce to our neighbors and they always bought me out. No child today could ever do that now. People just seemed to be more closely knit and interdependent on one another - a true community in every sense of the word.

I’m enjoying this as much as the original tv series! I love what they’ve done with it!

I want to live there ... with people who want to recreate and live as though we're in the 1930's !!

Lovin it here in the U.S. ..just happened on the first show while channel surfing and have made the appointment every Sunday night to be at the tube watching..gonna miss it since its coming to a finale in a few weeks..

Great video. I visited Skipton and Skipton castle back in 1988. Have always intended to visit the UK again but it hasn’t happened so far and the way things are going, well....... It looks quite vibrant and busy for such a wintry day, which is nice to see people out and about. Are the outdoor stalls a usual, daily thing or is it just because of COVID and lockdown? Thanks for a fun walk down memory lane, so to speak, though I think I got to see more of Skipton through your video than I did when I was there.

this is terrible because the true humor is lost. The characters are not the same. They would never do the things that the characters in 2020 do. Siegfried would never act that way. It is just not right!

Been a fantastic series so far (episode 3 in particular )and ended up in Grassington on Monday for day out and it was as busy as a bank holiday!!....great to see the filming locations and a beautiful place :))
