Just can't help thinking that only those who were little kids in this film will still be alive and even they will now be elderly. S-A-D. I was 8/9 in 1967. I can remember our holiday to Bognor that year.

The 8th July 1985 was Concorde's first COMMERCIAL flight out of Gatwick. There were many 'one off' promotional flights before that and some diversions if Heathrow had a problem. So yes, you are correct in what you say.

In 1979 I was living in Horly, close to Gatwick airport. Later on I moved to the countryside around Reigate and more then once I had the privilege to see the Concord flying overhead. It was easily identified by its outline against the sky during flight. I believe that the only other plane at the time which could have been mistaken for it was the Vulcan. It was a memorable site. Now you are saying it´s first flight from Gatwick was on July 1985. It made me really confused, because I always believed the ones I saw had taken off from Gatwick.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the weather did not stop us from having a wonderful time.

Nice to see a bit of local history. I've got some carnival stuff, mainly from Hastings and one of Bexhill from about 2001...I seem to remember a medieval performance after the event..the Knights of the? something or other...can't quite recall their name (perhaps you may know?)

Yes the trip was to find what was available within a few steps of FREEBEE bus stops... And some were good, some were crap, but a good day was had finding out......
