yui and mui was so young. mui was 14. and yui was even younger. mui was only just growing and mitsuri couldnt even hug obani before they died because she got her arms cut off. shinobu tried to revenge on douma for kanae but ended up dying. in the end, all of them werent even old, and tengen, was the only hashira that survived.

The sad part is muichiro shinobu and genya doesnt even have graves shinobus body got eaten muichiros corpse got lost in the infinity castle and nakime died so his body is there forever and genya just vanished

all of these were sad, but I feel like muichiro was the most painful. Muichiro died in the most brutal way possible. Cut in half, kokushibo's sword in his chest, getting his hand and legs sliced off, being the youngest one and plus he was killed by kokushibo, his ancestor. Tokito had the most brutal death in my opinion..

Tbh I was atleast happy that they died together and achieved what they sacrificed their lives for, just imagine if the story wasn't like this and every hashira was killed like rengoku did in the fights with upper moons one by one and the story continued with a new generation of hashiras with tanjiro being the strongest one of the generation along with zenitsu, inosuke,kanao, genya and some others, it may have been more sad than this one watching hashiras getting killed one by one. I mean they could have stretched the story a bit with a time skip, anyways its just my opinion and I'm satisfied with the current ending too.
