These guys sure got a huge buff from dd1. This probably could've been done way faster but I couldn't find a way to knock him out of the air so I had to just sit and wait for him to land each time. Last phase is also kinda difficult to have good dps in due to how much he spams the stamina drain roar and bolide. Fun fight overall though.

Berserk equipment mod - www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/776 All gear was fully upgraded. I used shattered earth tomes in phase 2 because I couldn't find a way to stagger him without them. I like phase 1 but phase 2 is really boring since all he mainly does is spams magic. Looking forward to DD2. Hopefully they make the combat even better 🙂

Lord of the nioh order. Let us go together.
You legend
Whoao.. Record guiness men... What a job you made.. To came into way of nioh lvl 1.. Whoao!
This game need a 3 years delay for more -Quest lines -Enemies -Endings -Boss Fights -Alternate ways to complete the games with complex choices.
2:24 Man that would've been a really bad spot to fall over the edge.
Those heartbeats give chills each fackin' times!
I never noticed until lately, but his beard hair follows his arm and goes into its armor. You can see it poking out everywhere on its body. So its likely just the head itself that's "alive", while it controls the armor via its hair.
Imagine if fighter pawns could perfect block attacks tho.
Can you share your build? I was looking for this combination among Warfarer Builds. This might be the closest I can current get to using a "Mystic Knight" in the game.
I love DD2 but damn how I wish every boss encounter was like this instead of being melted by Meteors and Tornado. Self imposed challenges are nice but I sure wish monsters were more difficult and varied
Dullahan has been created to be fought with fighter lol. It feels so good parrying his ass
These guys are the worst he threw my pawn off a cliff then proceed to knock me out and make me watch as he slaughtered my archer pawn and mage
Ok, great video, I might even watch it a second or third time, however it would’ve been nice if you described the movesets or skills you’re using. For those of us that enjoyed this video but have no idea what you’re doing, lol
Very cool
I’ve never heard this? 😮
Never encountered one for my first run at all lmao
Sekiro eat your heart out 😊
I cant think of a single fighter skill that gives me a dodge roll wtf. So I guess you just modded the block to be roll and block ?
the skill is hindsight sweep, you roll then followup with a counterattack. there are no mods here
Damn their moveset was so much easier than I though... The 3 pawns in your team clutter the screen with spells and shit, can't see a damn thing lol
pawns also get grabbed a lot which buffs him and makes him way harder
@@Avohkii_ ah that grab buffs him? Really good to know thanks

OMG,well play!
I wish fighter could use the dullahan sickle...
Why the drake seldom use roar to reduce your stamina to zero? My fight it used roar a lot to reduce my stamina to zero & like to fly up in the sky out of my reach to use its magic more than 50% of the time. The drake i often fight are very smart & use roar to reduce my stamina to zero first then fly up and drop on me. Your stamina also reduce very little when u use your skills & running. Lastly your stamina also recover at an insane rate, i think almost three times of my recovery rate. What is your secret?
He is clearly at a very low carry weight. You can also eat food at campsite to boost recovery speeds, however I do not see that buff above his health. There are also a few different ways to bolster your stamina pool. Lastly enemy behavior is purely based on rng while we all may fight the same enemies, however, no 2 people are going to experience the exact same fight. Your question seemed to be geared more at pressing the poster on something you find suspicious instead of trying to learn. Get Gud.
@@Beelzebubbly_ My weight is always light weight and I always eat food that boost stats & recovery speed via camping before hunting drake. I dare say keeping stamina above 50% most of the time when soloing drake is quite hard for a fighter. I assume he is at very light weight & not using endgame weapon. Let me know when you can get as good as him in your management of stamina when soloing a drake as a fighter and you killed it solo. I think many here also want to know his secret.
@@Toh2486If you still find yourself questioning his weapons, he is using the shield of vernworth and the threaded cudgel neither of which I would consider to be endgame.
I was average weight, if you’re above that your movement and stamina regen get slowed. I don’t think I had anything else affecting my stamina regen. In general just don’t spam skills and your stamina should be fine. Also the drake used his roar a ton, but he only uses it in his last phase, (3 to 2 health bars left I think). Which took up a majority of the video lol.
Now THIS is a Paladin Warfarer I swear, it should have been “pick 2 vocations you have maxed and you can switch between them with 3 skills each” Just like the first game where we had 6 skills for every vocation
I reckon they should have a button that just switches between two sets of four skills. There’s a mod kinda like that and it doesn’t break the game at all, just adds crazy good variety to combat gameplay. Especially for sorcerer who is restricted to a pathetic 4 spells now.
...except warrior 👀
Would be cool if we can get that type of weapon.
I can smoke him in 30 second with thief skull splitter, but when i watch you fight, learning boss move and rhythm, remind me hardcore gamer from dark soul, elden ring, blood borne…
The fighter parry sound is the whole reason I fell In love with the vocation back in DD1
Pro
😩 the most satisfying gameplay ive seen in a while - if only the warrior had more mechanics to it so that this kind of game play is possible 🥲 alas i must bonk
Totally cool bro! 😃😃🤩🤩🤩
Amazing fight! respect!
Great, we went from Dragon’s Dogma to Dark Souls Dogma🙂👍🏻
I’m more shocked you actually found one to fight.
These guys are all over the place in Post-Game. Same thing for any else undead like all Lich variants, all ghost variants and Undead Lords. If the Dullahans had a pawn badge, first step into post game and you'd probably complete it in a single sitting 😂
They seem to be on most bridges in the unmoored world.
@@wondertownfunk6858I was so annoyed lmao such an annoyingly long fight without magic
In my 1st playthrough, I only fought 3 of those and 1 of those is the quest.
Just wander around in post game and you’ll find plenty.
Seems like the Sekiro gamers have come to play
Me struggling after getting parried this guy shield and mace easy cheese
Clean parries, never noticed dullahan even had an attack like that.
Godmait hope we get his armor on the dlc bro 🎉🎉🎉
Might work on single Targets Vs a group its almost Impossible solo. Youre getting perm staggert until you die 🤣👍
0:29 is that vengeful slash? Looks different with that spin move u do before hitting them
Correct it is 🙂
Might be weapon dependent, animations change between maces and swords.
Well played sir! Im glad youtube recommends me some videos about skill expression in DD2 now, instead of a gazzilion "OP BUILD" videos. I love the basic skills mastery, playing thief/archer Warferer combo with some difficulty mods got me into mastering the basic skills, like bow slide, jump kicks, daggers walljump and jump grabs to pin an enemy down, it feels immensly satisfying to weave these things in combat.
This game's combat is incredibly deep. I already knew you could use animations with archer to change up the attacks but now I've started looking into numbers tactics (basically all the planning outside of combat) For my warfarer I've gone defense quality spearhand, physical explosive archer, and magick healer Mystick archer. It's awesome. My magick bow heals me when I sit still, and I heal/revive my pawns with it. So my pawns can go all in on thief physical, Sorcerer magick, and warrior knockback. While I'm the wildcard and can play effectively any role needed. Dullahans are the most engaging and fun fight because they're the only threatening enemy that can pierce the spearhand's bubbles (with their scream attack)
@@glowerworm dullahans for sure are the most intresting enemy to fight, i wish there was more of them and/or more enemies that make you feel like you are dueling someone very strong and skillfull, and also terrifying (i like dullahan "parry stance" when they kind of deflecting your attacks, super dope)
agree. i find just deluging shot + frosted edges are strong enough to get you through any content in the game, but honestly the fun is not in just winning but winning in style (like this). definitely agree bow + daggers are a stylish method.
You totally had your way impressive ❤
Great video all this time i thought these were harder than drakes and i read their whole pattern movement in this video 4 swings scream and the 3 hits scream got it
I also though the moves were simple watching this vid... reason we don't see that in game is because we have 3 other pawns wailing at the enemy, I casting meteorites from fucking space and another smiting it with lightning every 2 seconds. Can't see a damn thing 😅
You were using the guard counter(forgot the name of it) for the 4th parry and counterattack on each of those 4 hit sequences, right? I hadn’t used it yet, because I thought it was just a free “hold and burn stamina to parry”, but using it just like a perfect parry the way you were is pretty cool. Definitely stylish. How is the damage on the counter compared to hindsight sweep? I’d assume hindsight sweep has better damage and that’s just giving you more style points?
From what I've seen, vengeful slash is *really* pretty strong. Hindsight sweep remains really good at staggering, but I don't know if it's *actually* ahead, damage-wise. I know some folks actually ran both, even though it seems counter-intuitive to run that many counters... but after trying it, I kinda get it. They fill slightly different niches.
They ruined hindsight slash imo. Was a cool backstep into a clean counter and now it’s an awkward roll for some reason?
@@voltaicburst4279 I liked the original a lot, even used it as reference for part of a skyrim moveset I made at one point, but I’m definitely a fan of the new one. Think I personally prefer it. The perfect block animation for larger atks is also super nice
Does the parry do anything besides not using stamina?
Builds up stagger on large enemies, making them easier to knock down. Small enemies generally get put in the riposte state immediately when perfect parried.
@@Avohkii_ are you sure it builds up stagger on large enemies?
@@BrokeNSings I'm pretty sure. If I wasn't parrying the Dullahan here he would've been much harder to stagger repeatedly like that.
@@Avohkii_ ye you go several down states while I generally get only 1 with a full party
@@Avohkii_ thank you, the game is clear about its effects on small enemies, but not on large ones.
Damn I could never perform that so soon in this games life span. Amazing work my man and extremely stylish
Damn you're so good. This feels like Dark Souls. Never thought DD combat can feel this good
Dd2 solo play is a whole new beast
DD’s combat is far better than dodge and roll then one hit then dodge and roll. It’s just that DD2 is too easy after a certain level so there’s no reason to push it to its limits.
@tristanward9937 DD2 mob fights are quite cinematic. Tanking hits as a warrior during a charge to knock back multiple enemies in one swing, countering attacks as fighter and holding ground like a 300 soldier, flipping off one enemy and shooting another midair as am archer, taking off a group with homing missiles as mystick archer, countering with a slice to the neck as thief, smoke bombing and assasinating enemies veiled by the smoke as thief, pulling an enemy in with implicate and doing a finisher as thief. These things DD2 does better than Elden Ring and Monster Hunter imo
DD2 never feels like Dark Souls. Combat in DD is miles ahead of any souls like...
The problem with dd2 combat is not the players toolkit, is the monsters ai. They are so passive and dumb, you need to handicap yourself to feel a challenge. Bosses in dark souls are actively trying to murder you, in dd2 they are at best target dummies. And you have op inmunity tools and insane parry mechanics on top that.
Just put on mystic spearhand invincible shield. Never die all game 😂 what were the devs thinking
Dev gave you 2 path, easy mode or hard mode. Your choice.
You don’t even need that, even if you take fatal damage just open the item menu. That barrier is a wasted skill slot and I never needed it. Game really needs a hard mode bad.
@@_graiderz2462 this
@@_graiderz2462 yeah you’re not wrong. I use different abilities and vocations every so often so I don’t get bored of the game. I like melee fighters way more. Archers and mages are boring to me.
The game is more about choosing the coolest play-style. So it’s your choice to be invincible when you want but you can also just not use it and give yourself a challenge if you want. ( once they put in a hard mode lol )
Was the dodge ability from the thief, I forgot 😅, still learning when to dodge so perfectly must have taken a lot of practice, wish I was as lucky as you were!
He was perfect blocking
@@ToastyDuns gotcha thx!
