My Hot Take on Jesus is very similar to the lovely young woman in the orange shirt. As a disciple, I find it extremely disturbing that so many “Christians” completely misrepresent Him, the example of behaviors that He modeled, and the entire meaning of Jesus’s life/death/sacrifice/resurrection/ascension/etc. Extremely frustrating to observe how frequently “Christians” continue to be so hypercritical and judgmental towards people to the point that their ignorance of The Bible has actually turned many people away from faith and tarnished the reputation of Christianity!!

He gets us, but he also saves us and forgives us. To those reading this who are skeptical or believe that religion is no good I ask of you to read the Bible with an open mind. To find Jesus with an open heart. I want you to be saved but I don’t want you to feel the pressure and judgment of the people who scared you off from him. This is beyond misrepresenting what it meant when Jesus washed the disciples feet. The feet washing was for only those who were following Christ not those who are not, it was an example of how to treat OUR brothers and sisters IN CHRIST. There are many other ways to display care and good for outsider's that Jesus taught, like the story of the man who was robbed and beaten on the side of the road (Luke 10:29-37).
