My videos are not comprehensive tutorials. They are mainly my interpretation of the user manuals and my positive experience with the products or machines. I am a retired FAA licensed aircraft inspector for American Airlines at JFK and a FAA licensed Airframe & PowerPlant mechanic. I also hold a full book in Long Island carpenters and joiners local 7. One of my many hobby's is machine embroidery and embroidery digitizing. My videos will take you along as I have some fun with my machines, join me and maybe learn something new.

In this video I am showing some of the issues you can develop after a needle replacement if you are not careful. I would suggest you purchase a plastic needle holding tool to help guide the needle up into the needle bar opening. Remember the flat on the needle goes toward the back, away from you.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!! You saved me about $300 getting my machine tension adjusted!! You are awesome!
Nice job. I need this video. I am planning on make a similar project and I have a PE800 machine. My machine is very similar to yours. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. TX/PR💖❤
Great job, good luck with the filming from Aviano to Pordenone, I too rode that route on my english racer, at only age 11, parents did care cae, very safe envronment. My friends and I did walk to the mountain, thank you for these good memories
@leewhitehead7403 thanks for comment.
Very helpful video. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Hey Vince my take up is stuck and nothing is working what can I do ?
Usually the take up lever crank gets loaded with thread wrapped around it. You could not even turn machine manually whin this happens. I use a device like a dental pick one thread at a time.😢
I enjoyed this video. My thread guide on a Brother 1700e needs replacement so this gives me a head start. Thank you Vince.
Sorry. Was hoping you would at least show how you put leather into the hoop and after reading other comments you haven't even answered their questions so thumbs down from me. 👎
Julia. Please watch this video where I am showing my hoop with medium stabilizer and thin leather mounted in hoop. I use a #14 needle for this project. ruclips.net/video/2rUvfjYNKCw/видео.htmlsi=EOzBRMyow066LED8
Where can I get the service manual? That would be fantastic to have! Great video!
Email me for the MC500E service manual. vince9184@gmail.com
great idea!,it pays to be creative
Hi Vince I have a problem with my PE900 brother machine and I haven’t been able to find an answer anywhere. The presser foot is too high. It hovers over the fabric and makes a sticking noise when it embroiders. How do I lower it?
I have a video on adjusting presser foot. There is a metric Allen key holding the needle bar in place.
Thank you so much sir!!!
Thank you ❤
What tension to use??
I just got a gently used one a week ago. I'm having a blast making goodies with it.
Hello, my brother PE780D embroidery start/stop button doesn't activate all the time. Can I replace this button? Thank you
I can't tell you how many times your videos have helped me! This fix, though, really did save my small business and my head!! I've had this problem for too long now on a machine, not even a year old. Thank you so much!
Will this machine work for 3-4oz leather/suede hides?
Is it better to stop with the needle up or down?
I just ordered this machine, but I want to get the other hoop sizes. Is there anything I need to keep in mind when purchasing them separately?
I own a singer professional cover/overlock. I only use for the cover stitch . It’s a one that is not easy to work with. I’m persistent and succeed ninety nine percent of the time. It’s very sensitive when the thread is not right. I regretted as soon I bought it. Difficult to end a seam on the run. Thank you for all your ideas. Be well
Thank you so much for making this video, exactly what i needed to fix my problem
Thank you for the information!
I have just replaced my bobbin case because the previous got damaged. Now the machine works sometimes and not others. I’m trying to figure out if the bobbin case should be able to move at all. Also wondering if bobbin tension has gotten messed up
Very informative video! Do you know where to find the hidden menu on the Innovis 5000? My hoops do not center properly.
You’re a lifesaver! Thank you!
My pe770 is screeching and it sounds like something is loose, do you know why?
great video - are you at all concerned using it for light milling duty might loosen the spindle and introduce wobble for more precise drilling uses?
I have same thing going on. Only 1 bathroom and steel tub. I don't have anything in front, but do have a on walls, around tub etc a corning type surface material on walls etc. I wanted a deeper tub, but after asking my friend who does random home repairs it's a pretty big task. I gave up due to cost of labor. Around here labor costs are crazy. Even a fence install is around $33 a foot for wood and that's on low side for basic no frills.
Hi Vince, you seem so comfortable with machines in general. My only experience is working occasionally on office machines or calling a repair guy…so I am wondering if you ever heard of getting thread caught around the hand wheel on the right side of sewing machine? I never thought it would happen but it happened a half hour ago to me. I have a thread holder attached to top of my Brother VM5200. It came with the machine. I had a spool of thread sitting there and left a string down the back side but somehow the string caught up somehow? I cut off a lot of thread but there is still about six thread strings caught. I think I need to remove the hand wheel? Have you done that? I’m going thru the manual and trying figure it out. I hate this as of course I’m in middle of a project and afraid I will have to bring it to the sewing machine shop I bought it for service. I hope you have advice. Thank you for your videos!
Thank you for this video. It encouraged me to start embroidering leather on my Brother machine.
HI, by any chance, do you know what error f06 np sensor broken means?
The error message "F05" or "F06"is displayed on the screen. Is the NP PCB assy. correctly connected to the motor PCB assy. NP PCB assy. and motor PCB assy. connector disconnected. I have the service manual in color for the Brother PE770. My email: vince918@gmail.com
what thread do you use for embroidery with this machine?
I use PolyStar brand polyester from MrVacAndMrsSew.com 50wt 1000meter, 64 colors. Also their pre-wound bobbins
Prost
Vince, you've done an impeccable job demonstrating this device and how to access the software, thank you!!
Thank you. Hubby spent a couple of hours discovering this yesterday on my NV750D. If only we had seen your video first. 😆 once i have threaded up, and the presser foot is up, i floss the thread a few times to make sure it's seated correctly. No more issues with breakages and jams.
My problem is further up inside the tension disc itself..it is really tight and the thread does not flow thru..started all of a sudden. There is not any thread fray inside. Is it advisable to use sewers aid machine oil?
Do u have any videos own changing the blades for this machine I have have one shorts video that’s very different from manual and the manual is very vague and I think I took a chunk out of my lower blade trying to change this upper blade.
Unfortunately this video does not help me. Chech and rethread the upper thread
Attention Brother SE600 users, bookmark this vid! This works for you. Please skip to 15:26, this diagram is what you want. There SHOULD be a 1.6 - 2.0mm gap as shown here. There's a bunch of vids here on YT stating the hook should be "just above the eye" while showing literally, the hook above the eye with no gap... DON'T DO THIS!!!! The diagram shown in this video is what you want!!! So, I'd like to thank the uploader of this vid for saving me so much anguish. Here's a lil back story, it's a bit of a read, but comes to show how easy it is to make mistakes while trying to watch vids here on youtube to diagnose your issues: My issue first began when I tried to embroider a hat... BIG MISTAKE (which btw, do not use 3rd party hat hoops on an SE600, you're gonna ruin your machine). Needle ended up chewing through my bobbin case, although I didn't realize it. I started having this issue where the bottom thread would no longer catch and the bobbin case would bounce. All symptoms pointed to timing (which was wrong, it was not timing). Like a goofball, I watched some tutorials out there, changed the timing where the hook was literally above the eye of the needle with no gap. Didn't fix my issue. Eventually I came across another vid that showed why the bobbin case can suddenly bounce, they pointed out a gash on the side of the bobbin case in which thread can get land in the trench/gash and suddenly lift the entire bobbin case. BINGO. Sanded it down, that fixed it (although I did get a new bobbin case) also yea, the needle chewed up the upper area of the bobbin case too, like someone took a bite out of it. With that fixed, the embroidery started working without issue, that is until I noticed my tension tests weren't even on the under side. You embroider a column, look under it, and notice 3 columns (white in the center and color on each side) The issue was that the color on the right was thicker than the color on the left. Also when embroidering, I could see dots of white thread popping through here and there. Some would say tension, nope.. not tension!!!! It was hook timing. I remembered that I tried to adjust it earlier, but inadvertently threw it off ever so slightly. Thanks to the diagram in this vid, those white dots of thread are now gone. It would have been a grave mistake to adjust bottom tension (this literally almost needs NO adjustments, period, leave your bobbin tension alone unless it's very specialized work).
How long are they supporting this thing?
What are you talking about?
@@vincejarcuriworldofmachine200 How long will the tests be available before you need a whole nother meter again?
Did you have to pay for it out of pocket or were you able to get your insurance to pay for it?
Paid out of pocket.
@@vincejarcuriworldofmachine200 Thanks.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful for checking that I have threaded my machine correctly.
You have to put a jumper in there to get flow your just deadheading the pump that’s why the alarm sounds
What is the name I’d the black replacement unit so we can search and order online? TYIA.
I have this machine and it’s slipping on stitches . Can you tell me why?
Great job, do you make your own wine as well? I've actually thought of this, but from seeing your video I wouldn't purchase a soda stream. Reason too many pumps, I assumed it was one pump. Thanks for videoing and sharing.
Got a new Brother PE900, but the bobbin thread keeps showing on top. I’ve tried using a stabilizer, changed both threads, re-threaded everything, adjusted the bobbin tension (even tried turning the screw multiple times), and wound my own bobbin, but nothing’s working. Any ideas on what I might be missing?
I was gifted this machine recently and it was missing the bobbin cradle and bobbin holder. I wanted to save some money and try servicing the machine myself, so I ordered the missing parts and then used this video to replace the whole unit. This video was invaluable to my success! Thank you so much for taking the time to post this!
