“Walking snoogles”

All cats are a bit odd, but our little tuxie Tippy takes oddness to new levels. She invented this game where she leads us to different parts of the apartment in sequence and demands just one or two pets in each of them before going on to the next stop. She loves it so much that we're the ones who have to declare it over she herself would never tire of it, I think.

127th Street straight shot north
Просмотров 484 года назад
This video involves another single straight shot on Edmonton's new bike route network. It leads north on 127th Street from 102nd Avenue in Westmount to the area just north of the Yellowhead. In order, you can see the following choices the city made in expanding the network: - A little jog through the neighbourhood of Glenora (the only period where it's not STRICTLY a straight shot, though it's ...
104th Street to 136th Street on the Oliverbahn

The last time I owned a bike in Edmonton, riding it was much more complicated than it is now. There were actually plenty of bike paths, but they were clearly either mostly intended for recreation (like in our river valley, which is awesome) or accidental (like a nice long path that was built along an old railroad track just because it was easy to do so), but they didn't connect up. As a cyclist...

The singing of the Canadian national anthem
Beautiful ❤
Who’s here in 2024?
Nathan, your father was one of the biggest inspirations in east coast Canada. One of my friends passed recently and hearing this brought me to tears. RIP Dylan 🤘🏼 you were one of the strongest and hard working people I’ve ever known
Just like stan, just goves me goosebumps
What ever happened to Nathan, why didnhe stop.making music?
blessed with his fathers voice, cursed with his hairline
song begins at 2:19
This has become one of the most beloved traditions in my family. We have moved away to Ireland over 10 years ago, but every time we turn home, and come back to Canada, the night before our flight, we gather round the table; and sing this together. It reminds us of where we’re from, where we’re going, and what it means. We discover the northwest passage again, every single time, the way Franklin would have wanted. I’m going home tomorrow morning. Tears. Chills. Home.
Safe travels, fare thee well.
When he made disparagimg remarks about Stephen Harper I stopped watching.
Kinda honestly really cool that the best cover of this song ever done was by his own son! So much heart in this performance.
very nice
Wow, his vibrato is so like his father's!!! Wonderful.
I come back often to hear this best interpretation of Stan Roger’s masterpiece.
10 years on, still amazing!
Well done! I have also loved Garnet's music, and you are continuing the family's music going so beautifully,, thanks
I really enjoy Nathan's voice. It is much like his father's, but unique. Beautiful.
Has anyone got the chords for this rendition?
Tune to drop D… D-G-A-Bm
A poignant eulogy for a dead nation
. . . brought me to tears . . again. Stan seemed to have SO MUCH LIFE ahead. Snatched too soon . . Thank you Nathan. Carry the torch, my friend, hold it high!!!
Perfection
Just fabulous. Sounds just like his Dad to me. Rest in peace, Stan.
The defenition of FOLK Miusic.
If I could live with the same passion with which Nathan sings this song, I think I would not be ashamed at the end of my life. We all fall short but we need not fall in such piss poor fashion. Go with God friends.
Thank you, Nathan. Thank you.
Strong genes in that Rogers clan. Brilliant !
What an amazing cover! What a song! Thank you.
250k views? am i the only person who's watched this?
You and me bud. You and me.
No
As great as this song is, the backup singer is fantastic and that banjo solo is on point I say!
Yes! That's Leonard Podolak, who also has a solo career if you want to seek him out. :)
Holy shit. He sounds really similar to his dad! Amazing voice and performance. I like both versions so much
Beautiful
I remember when he was at the mariposa folk festival and my parents thought Stan had risen from the dead and was on the main stage. Such a good song to sing along with
O Canada!
He sounds almost exactly like his dad. It's amazing
'o' canada', lay down <3
Hacen eso por que quieren alimento liquido.. como la leche
I've never heard such version of this song.... Love You and thank You.
Wow! Amazing! Truly continuing stans legacy!
I come here from year to year... and it catches me everytime <3 I listened to stan rogers while writing all my papers all those years...and this is just perfect =)
TY Nathan xoxo
effin awesome !!
OMG!!! Nathan, You should be so proud to be your Fathers son. Instead, you want to make yourself an emberassment>
Who'll sing the songs of this country now that Stan Roger's is gone...
Uh…the whole damn crowd by the sound of it…led by Nathan Rogers.
brilliant and thanks
If this song had been the only one Stan ever wrote, he'd still be one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
funny that most of these Canadians in here try to claim the franklin expedition as their own. it was a British expedition. Please fuck off Canucks.
It’s a song inspired by Stan and crew looking for a place to eat. Stan was being Stan…big and bold metaphors for musicians on the road. God bless the Canucks for this song (which is not British) and the joy it has brought to so many.
Does anyone know what tuning he’s in?
He’s in drop D… from low to high…DADGBE.
So poignant. So lovely to see the connection with his dad maintained.
His voice is exactly the same as his father's
I'm not Canadian (A brit living in France) but I have always loved this song. Stan wrote a fine, rousing song, but Nathan has taken that song and, with passion and an outstanding voice, turned it into an anthem for the ages. If ever Canada was looking for another National Anthem this should be it.
Ever since his father died from smoke inhalation in 1982, Nathan Rogers was destined to carry on Stan's legacy.
