Did you make x2 for a complete collar? Just wondering as obviously the measurements shown are bigger one end than another. Also is the backing of the sample piece the felting when dry or have you lined it with something. Thank you

Can the knitted part be any type of yarn, or does it need to be wool?
It can be any type. Master here uses Yarnart melody and Gazzal rock n roll yarns. These yarns have about 10% of wool composition, the rest is synthetic. Half-woolen yarn is also good. It is much better to use synthetic materials for the decor only, and the part that touches your body should be of natural material

What is the mesh wire? What size cells?

What size mesh is that you use? Is it a hardware cloth? It looks to be too big spacing for window screen.

I would like to add a few ideas that i use to print wool or silk with natural plants. I use a new paint roller to get the air out. I also use an ace bandage around the roll of fabric to put pressure on the leaves. I will use either a 3 inch wooden dowel or a copper pipe which can aid as a mordent. I do not inclose the base in plastic wrap ,but steam the whole roll in a large turkey roaster
