In the end, all Marina could do was compose a song. She was not the leader Azadistan needs. She was a pacifist. She is incapable of politics. She cannot give Setsuna the answers he needs. However annoyingly incompetent she was her intentions and resolve to find a bloodless solution for peace is admirable. If more people thought like her and sought out peace not through guns but through songs, maybe we can even share a cup of beer with our enemies and sing until we drop dead rolling in laughter. Naive, but a worthy ideal to go after.
Man even Setsuna in the end fighting for her ideal resolve. Maybe Marina annoying and weak character but her influence is top notch
In the end it was all about how influencial she truly was. Marina is like most of us every people. We are weak and we see things pass before our eyes, even so we dislike war and we try in any way we can, even if it's just a small bit to go against it by helping those in need

So glad to hear meet you here, stranger! My brother introduced the story of GUNDAM 00 when he was a teenager and I was about 8 or 9. He verbally told me the moments that most gripped him from the anime just as stories. like the moment between Andrei and Smirnov, Louise revealing her arm… I thought they were cool stories. Years later I watched it myself without realising this was “that story that my brother told me about”. It fills me with nostalgia! I used to download and watch the episodes over and over on my tiny iPod. (Not iPod touch. The ones where there’s only five buttons). Again years later I then introduced this anime to my internet friend whom I had never met at that point but known for years. I just finished watching this series with my husband today- I still love and joke about gags and in jokes about this anime with my brother, I met my internet friend in person, I got married and shared this experience with someone I loved most and who understood me the most… And now I’m seeing your comment ! You got this champ. Yes, keep fighting to face tomorrow! You’re still alive!! I’m sorry to hear you maybe feel down about your current situation. Keep going at it, you can do it! Rewatching 00 again and indeed this is hillarious, in that Revive is supposed to be a superhuman yet got pwned by Haro. And Revive didn't even think of shoot that Haro, although he had a SMG stripped from Ian few moments ago. Also, Setsuna's "We have an excellent strategist!" is awesome too.
