What is the weight limit of your build here?
Hinges are rated for around a 200 lb door with only hinge support. The wheels are doing most of the support on this build and they're rated for 2,000 lbs if I remember correctly. so...lots?

We have a saying in swedish "alla sätt är bra utom de dåliga" (all ways are good except the bad). All though your way is perfectly valid (and maybe I missed the point), but why on earth not simply use a band saw and a vise for this?
@@jeppeh That’s a great saying! Love it! Couple reasons not to use a bandsaw. First I don’t have a metal blade and didn’t want to ruin my resaw blade. Also I wanted the pieces to be cut to an exact size and I know I couldn’t do that to .000 precision by hand. For the vise, I wanted to be able to reindex easily, but mainly didn’t want to make a mistake and find myself running my bits into a steel vise. Did that answer your question?
I laughed, I was impressed, and most of all I was educated! 10/10!
@@kathrynrigsby2444 Im-PRESSED 😅
Ohh, finally get it. Thats funny; Hewman Made! That flew right by me watching the video.
I don't have one of those machines. Lol, I have a cnc4newbie which is Canadian but I would have to say that was one helluva video. Very useful and informative to those who have this machine and setup. BTW, when cnc4newbie sent me my machine shipping was free and I live in the deep south!??? My longmill was $150 for shipping on this side of the border. I forgot what it was on your side of the border. I have no idea how they get away with it. I dunno if it was cause I am a vet and they just gave me free shipping or what. Oh yeah, I've been doing it long enough to figure out the real reason you would want a spindle. Of course longevity goes along with it but the real reason someone should get a spindle is for chip load. You can't really get a proper chipload out of a router. Rpm's have to be too fast and there is not enough torque to spin at lower rpm's which in turn heats up the bit, even just a little, and wears it down faster than what it should wear. My r11 router blows constant air on it so my bit doesn't really get hot but I still can't exactly run the feed as fast as I would like. In other words, if you want your bits to last longer, get a spindle. If your not in production mode, save your money and get a router with an r11 collet. That sux you have to do all that just for getting a bigger spindle. The money you spent for that you could get a bigger cnc4newbie and table with the same thing onefinity is offering. The only problem with my machine is there is never a problem so I have no idea how good customer support is?
This is HUGE in awesomeness!! Very cool to see the process and solution opportunities behind this build.
It's also HUGE IN REALITY!
Lots of yip yap
@@nikirebel Sorry this was beyond your level of comprehension.

I upgraded to the z-20 as well and no mounting screws were included. Another $8 at the hardware store. Would it hurt 1F to drop a print out of the required system update instructions in the box?
Oh so it wasn't just me? Hmmm....I was truly hoping that my z-20 just got missed when they were adding in the mounting bolts.
I ship all over the world and shipping from the united states to anywhere else is freaking expensive. I charge the actual amount that it costs me and it's still freaking expensive. If it was UPS they tack on a bunch of extra bullshit charges as well. Most of my commercial customers in canada use a male drop in the united states and then walk the packages through customs themselves at the border. They still have to pay the tax, but they don't get screwed on all of the extra charges from the carrier.
Shipping is truly out of hand these days. And UPS is the WORST! Don't even get me started on those lying, fraudulent dickwads!
the more i see the faults of the 1f machines and prices i think the altmil is a way better option to purchase. ive got one of thier 1f machines with the bb controller and its been a decent machie but support sucks and it appears theyve overlooked this design flaw as well.
What size and brand needles are you using?
These are the hand stitching needles from Tandy Leather. 1195-00
Great Video! However, you must stop checking yourself out on the screen so much!! LOL!! I do not want to sound rude, but it is super annoying. Especially as your eyes move from the lens to the screen, you pause your speech slightly and don't start up again until your eyes focus on yourself. It is actually funny-like a Saturday Night Live Skit. With all that said, it is a great video. Cheers! G
Brilliant work
Great Work what program did you design it on I'm trying to make a rocking horse for my grand daughter ?

@@HewmanMade ha! all of it. the whole axe, its performance aaaand the wielder ;)
Beautiful axe, but u got the shape wrong. Not even close to a real Viking war axe: "Viking krigs økse". This is a true war axe from the nationl danish museum: natmus.dk/typo3temp/assets/images/csm_Oekse_AN00728935_002_40051984cb_f1b001dcf5.jpg
also here is one with runes inscriped: natmus.dk/typo3temp/assets/images/csm_Oekse_credit_natmus_NMID_3b_0db3cb2169_4ec0ae3a31.jpg
Good to know there’s only one way to put a handle on an axe and I did it wrong. What would I do without you…
The people we call "Vikings" are in fact a collection of Scandinavian folks who never called themselves Vikings nor have a unified material culture across the board. Some of them simply fought with whatever axes they happened to own and some owned purpose made war axes. Also, I didn't see anything about an historically accurate replica anywhere in the title or caption. Given the fact that the term "viking" was coined in hindsight by people on the receiving end of raids and their description was vastly deformed to fit whatever narrative. I think this Scandinavian inspired chunk of metal could also have been hung on a piece of pink G10 and that would also have been cool.
Good to see you used hickory! Hope to get my axe project done this winter if the hickory I milled is dry. Not gonna as cool as yours though!
You've gotta use hickory, bad things happen if you don't!
Now I am curious who actually makes the vacuum. None of these companies make their own vacuums.
I've been looking at hobby grade cnc routers but looking at prices especially nowadays I've decided to build my own. I've purchased enough parts for a 4x4 foot cutting capacity cnc router. I'll be using 2x3 square steel tube 3/16 thick for the x and y axis and a 2x6 inch steel square tube also 3/16 thick for the z axis. A 1.5kw square air cooled spindle liear square block guides with their respective ball screws on all axis. Nema 23 closed loop steppers and a ESP32 microcontroller running a version of grblhal. I'll use inkscape for my cad and grblgru for my cam. This is the cheapest route for a decent router that is rigid enough for the best accuracy and speed for the money. Thanks for the video. More reason to build my own.
May the odds be ever in your favor?

Did you have feelings of revent on this one? The one you found is pretty cool to be fair, but we learned that you can make one, if needed. You got us all covered! 😂
It turned out beautiful. It’s good to know the perfect width is 7.5”… not 8” 😂

Looked like an amazing trip. Thanks for sharing. P.S. I woulda been concerned if that horse was hung like a hamster… just sayin. 😆
Don't horse shame!
Forgot to say this in the first video: so you’re saying it’s windy? 😂😂

The basalt columns looked epic! I particularly enjoyed the part where you were told to, “stop dicking around!” 🤣😂
was it "Dicking" or "Digging" no one will ever know...
This is beautiful and so inspiring! Bravo!
Thank you!
What is an amazing trip. We were locked in for the whole thing. Sharks, puffins and lambs oh my. The Yoda cave was pretty cool. So much hiking though, did you prep for this trip? Is it wrong that we wanted burgundy to fall?
YAY!!! Don't forget about the whale and there was also an unrecorded Reindeer :) Rudolph tastes delicious also! Oh yes, lots of hiking and lots of prep! Planning started back in January and there were places that were already booked up since the main travel season there is so short. It's very very right that you wanted burgundy to fall, means you're my kind of Hewmans!

Excelent, I liked so much
I cannot fathom how this has so little views. Although I know little about woodwork itself, I can confidently say that your pagoda could serve as a beautiful addition in a traditional Japanese garden. (Or any other pretty setting haha) What an amazing build!
Aww thank you! Well, I did just release the video and sometimes it takes a little while for it to gain momentum. But I also have a small channel and lots of people don't have the attention span for a 30 min long video these days 🥲
So beautiful dude! You killed it!!

Love his attitude. Just so chill. Love the video man, great job
It still has a really cool effect!!!!
The vision was there....just the execution....😅
I'm officially changing the plurality to waspesses, to hard to say wasps correctly.
All the Waspessesssessssessssss
Just a heads up, that symbol on the plastic does not mean it’s recyclable. It is the Resin Identification Code (RID) and should have a number in the center. Plastics recycling is a huge scam, and the RID was meant to confuse consumers into thinking any plastic with that symbol meant it is recyclable.
So what I'm hearing is my wasp nest resin might not be recyclable? 😨
This made my day. Needed to hear this.
That makes me so happy to hear!
Remember this: it's never a failure if you learn from it. 😉 Also, every time you try a new skill you are succeeding because you are improving...or at least, you should be 😉
Definitely should be...gotta work on that part a little bit more :)
yknow this may have not turned out how ya wanted but i think it still *looks* incredible. I would gladly and proudly display something like that on my desk or shelf, or use it on my table. i'm not sure if its food safe resin, but it could also be really fun to use on a plate with cheese and bread or something like that, holding a bit of honey? point is, you should be proud
You're very kind. And I am proud with how it turned out, it just wasn't what I'd imagined in my head. It does currently sit on my desk holding a set of dice
Your attitude is spot on. The journey is the lesson.
Thank you! So true!
