This is my first video giving you an idea of what I intend doing on the channel. A quick look around the factory which effectively is a bit of a play ground if you like building stuff like I do. Stay tuned for where to from here
HOW TO BUILD A SIMPLE RC AIRPLANE.. DIY RC AIRPLANE.. THE EASY WAY
Просмотров 61 тыс.Год назад
This video shows you how you can simple build and rc airplane to get into the hobby the cheapest and fasted way possible.
Good Job. You had to put weight on nose. Wonder if that makes it not a slow flyer. I have been trying to make super light, slow flyers. Its hard to get the center of gravity right.
nice built
Congratulations..if it is possible, could you please share the list of materials? Thanks
Nice 👍
I have built several of these, only a bit larger. Adding a rudder to elevons gives better control.
Well it started out nice until you started using the 3d printer. Not all of are rich!!! Still I may take some tips from this video to build something similar.
Not only rich people use 3D printers.
no meserments
awesome Job. Nicely built, enjoyed the timelapse. gets the point across. and flew Jobwelll done
We’ll done. One of the simplest builds Ive see. I think that undercambered wing would have done well with some incidence, leading edge higher than the trailing edge, and you could probably get that slow flight with more pitch stability. But I’ll be honest with you, one of my favorite planes to fly, flies terrible. Geometry is all wrong cus it’s a foam chuck glider with swept back wings and a top mounted motor pulling it, and elevons for control. It’s all wrong but it’s so much fun. So enjoy it the way you want!
great job ! i like your style of building .
Looks like it flies very well! Though I have to say that the plane is missing the spirit of slow stick, which is the rubber band! There are some stl files on cults3d with proper wing mounts. They are designed for a thicker stick but can be rescaled / cut open to fit on the thinner stick.
nice and quick build.
What ESC is that?
Nice video! What is the battery you are using?
PACKARD SHOULD STILL BE IN BUSINESS
THOUGH I PREFER THE B AND C MODEL

A "PARTS LIST" would be helpful. Thank you,
Maybe some "PLANS" also !
Nice one Craig. Amazing to see how turning it into a delta move the CG further back and made it more flyable. Greetings from Scotland. 🛩 Can you list the electronics used? Looks like a 1306 motor?
Good job bro, I couldn't keep mine in the air, this makes me want to try again 👍🏾
adding a simple kf airfoil would make it a lot more stable......
Will keep it in mind for the next one. Thank you
I think that it is a little tail heavy, it looks so in the fly test
Hi Danilo, yes she was tail heavy my CG wasnt 100%
looks kinda like a slo stick😎😎
she does kinda. Maybe i should build a bigger better version
Looks tail heavy😉😉
She definitely was slight. CG wasn't correct
That's impressive 👌
thank you. Much appreciated
@@craigkeel1568 my pleasure, greetings from indonesia 🇮🇩

By the way, excellent production!
Thank you. Much appreciated
Thrust angle is important, since it has no airfoil. Also, it is so small and light it does not like wind. On the positive side, it is hard to damage. I have built a lot of stuff like this, since I have many crashed planes to salvage from. If you build a larger version you might try a rudder as well. It helps with control.
Yes i put her down a couple of times and not much damage fortunately. it will keep that in mind thank you.
Just a smidge of dihedral would probably do wonders for stability. Or turning up the tips. These are educated guesses, since I haven't built this exact type - yet. 😁

Not bad for a zero-air-foil plane. A few degrees of V-shape for the wings should help to get a more stable flight behaviour. Some rounding of the leading edges of the wings an a tape reinforcement of them will reduce the air resistance.
thank you for the advise. Will keep it in mind and possibly add to the next one
Looks great. Can you please share the link for the motor, esc and other electronic components?
Thank you. I will have to have a look for it as i purchased it some years ago, if i can find it i will share.
Can only fly it twice a year with no wind or indoors I suppose
Haha very true. A bit of a fair weather flyer
hello you are very good, i 🇻🇳vietnam
Thank you very much! I appreciate that.
I see your channel i will watch some content. your avatar build looks awesome
Thank you for liking it

very good video, enjoyed watching it.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you
information 2:15 these two parts are NOT necessary. as a result, the tail has, unnecessarily, been made Heavier. clipping off the tips of the horiz-stab is NOT correct design. instead, a couple degrees of SWEEP should be used, at the stab Leading Edge. sweep extends FROM the Tail Boom TO each stab tip.!!! 2:21 especially at the tail, adhesive should be used SPARINGLY. so that, the amount of mass located at the tail is kept to a minimum. the chords of the rudder and elevator should be EQUAL in length. in other words, the chord length of the rudder is EXCESSIVE. IF MATERIAL is removed from the lower edge of the rudder, ONLY the MINIMUM area Necessary should be removed. in this case, the rudder ALREADY had some clearance, as a result of mounting the vert-stab at the top of the tail boom. 3:00 bleh the dihedral SHOULD have been built into the wing, at the time when the wing halves were joined. 4:11 the height of the vert-stab should be equal to a bit less-than FIFTY percent of the horiz-stab span.! when a vert-stab is made taller than that, it is EXTRA HEAVY; and the tail is Extra Heavy. 4:32 put (the mass of) servos AT/near the cg.!!!!! NOT aft of it.! cg SHOULD BE located at, or a bit forward-of, THIRTY percent of chord.!!! 5:20 control horns are NOT Correctly located.! 6:00 the tail is HEAVY.!!! the vert- stab and rudder should be RE-DESIGNED, in accordance with what i have said in this comment. the type of main wing used here SHOULD be mounted with a couple degrees of Positive angle of attack (aoa). in other words, the main wing should be mounted such that the leading edge is slightly 'higher' than the trailing edge. when a model this small is made using foamboard, the model Will Be heavy, for its size. as this model is. googletranslate
I hope Craig feels suitably admonished. I can see one of those in my near future with a 3.8 gram AIO camera, let the fun continue.
Did it fly? Why post all of this drivel, just enjoy the flight of his model.
@@randallcallison9373 That's his hobby. I always see him criticizing people's builds. Seems knowledgeable and I'm sure there are some good suggestions but he's not very nice about it. Also don't see any of his planes on his channel...

Из всего услышанного я понял, что это Ваш офис. Из всего увиденного я понял, что Вы имеете принтер, который помогает, Я такого принтера не имею. Для меня дорого такой купить. From everything I heard, I understood that this is your office. From everything I saw, I understood that you have a printer that helps you. I don't have such a printer. It's expensive for me to buy one.
Yes they not cheap took a while to get one but they are very useful
Отличный ход в авиамоделизме. Great move in aeromodelling.
Thank you
Отлично! Great!
Nice easy build! Please tell me about the motor and the esc and the prop saver too. Thanks for the video!
HI Graywoulf. Thank you yes very simple. I am busy with another one today. Hopefully if the weather hold out i will test fly and upload build later tonight. The motor esc and servos were bought from hobby king years ago. I don't have much info but if I find them on the website I shall share with you.
❤
Learn something new every day! Thanks for the idea.
Glad to hear it!
You crazy 😂
😂
Wants to "tuck under" More down thrust, move cg rearward? await next exiting episode.
Thank you Colin. I will try those few suggestions. I am busy with another build today a provided the weather hold out i shall test fly and upload video later tonight. I hope you enjoy

Nice one. Do you have a plan for it?
Hi Ozhan, No plans but the dimensions are roughly 400mm x 280mm with a 45 degree sweep on the leading edge
Just look up “pizza box flier” Make your balance point 20-25% of the length of the plane front to back.
Thanks for the advise. I just looked it up now. That's what i initially was trying for. Thanks for the advice. Just checked your channel out. Will watched the videos this evening.
