We live on Pelican Lake in northern Minnesota and make fishing report videos as well as fun fishing videos about Pelican Lake. We are a father/son fishing team who love to fish and are trying to share our love of fishing with you! We try to keep everyone up to date on all things fishing with Pelican Lake. We put out a weekly fishing report during the summers and like to share tactics and spots with those who enjoy fishing for Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie and Bluegills!

We spent an evening on Pelican Lake doing some bass fishing. Temps were in the 70s and we had very light winds. Caught mostly largemouth bass, several pikes and a couple of bluegills. Really like your videos. We are from San Diego and travel to Pelican every June for the past twelve years. We hammer the largies and the smallies on senkos and whopper ploppers.

Which spot on pelican is the best for doing top water right now. Did some top water down by Saunders bay last night and did not catch anything on top water. Fished for about 2 hours
Deeper pads and rocky points have been best for top water this week.
@@PelicanLakeFishing thanks for the tip, any favorite locations? Is it worth going towards the west side of the lake?
100% agreed on catch and release of 20” plus walleye! I caught some super nice spring crappie and released them because they were full of eggs.

Thank you for the tips. I usually do fairly well with early spring Walleye on Pelican. Jig and a minnow along Sugar Busch point. Completely agree with the slot recommendations!!

What's a safe bet week for fall fishing peak
Mid to late September is usually best. Very late September can be phenomenal, but it can also turn cold. Crappies and walleyes bite very good once it turns cold.
Friends and I been going up to pelican now for 7 years in a row, love it always in May usually 3rd or 4th week, can't wait to go in September and give it a try, love your reports
Come up every year in august or September and I appreciate the videos to know how the fishing has been all year. I enjoy seeing the pictures and hearing about what’s been going on at the lake. We love it there, can’t wait to get there in about 6 weeks!

I was at pelican lake for a few days around the 4th and caught several limits of crappies in short order so they are still active
It seems like your videos are a smart business practice. Four of us will be spending plenty of money up there in September, largely due to your channel. Keep it up!
I heard the bluegills have been biting the buzz baits recently
I've found most success using a quarter ounce outkast takle swim jig. Blue Gill go absolute nuts for a black and blue swim jig.

Great video Adam! I've had good luck using a bottom bouncer and lindy rig (same concept), September is also a wild time for Walleye on Pelican lake! ... we have had people catching some nice 'surprise' Walleyes while Crappie fishing!

The lake is still very high. Fishing has improved the last two days as we've had some better weather. Let's keep our fingers crossed next week has good weather for all of us!

Are the Walleye being caught by strands island or bald island?
More so off the flats around Bald Island. We had people fishing around Strand for a while, but I haven't had a report from there in a couple weeks.

Headed up end of June into July from Reno,NV to visit fam. Hoping to stumble upon a couple eyes to hit the grease. Haven't eaten walleye in over 8 years and need some in my belly😂 thanks for the info. I'll stay tuned in for more reports!

My brother flew up from Mexico to make our second trip ever to Pelican Lake. We'll be staying at Pine acres and arriving Friday, if we catch bluegill we'll send you pics. I wonder how all the rain has affected Pelican, love the videos, keep up the good work.
We did get a ton of rain yesterday, but I'm sure the bluegill will still be biting. Let us know how you do next week!
