My wife and I hand make jewelry from used guitar and bass strings. We’ve been fortunate enough to have so many wonderful musician friends that have inspired us over the years. This is primarily a place where my wife and I can share our obsession with good music. We will post videos from some of the live performances we have seen as well as some other creative, music inspired videos.

Came here to check out some of Em's other work after seeing her with LP. I have to say... not trying to compare as it's clear she's got her own thing going... but I see some Eddie Vedder vibes going on at least when she's singing this song.
Some LP fans are going to shit themselves when Em starts playing guitar on stage! She is the real deal. I feel sorry for the rest of Dead Sara - they are an awesome band who should have been bigger than they were.
I hope she has some guitar parts on the new album.

Crying into their keyboards because people are starting to think for themselves, and are recognizing that she has massive talent. In Dead Sara, and that she's also a great fit for LP. 2 different genres and 2 different bands. The woman is Indeed a badass.

The First concert of Emily with Linkin Park brought me here too. She was there like she had fingers pinched in the door leaf. Tottaly flat audience with only wish to feed their smartphones and social media. But this concert is real fire and Emily explodes like monster blonde raspy volcano. Audience shines with presence and hungry for live experience. Love this energy and Dead Sara !

Honestly if I hear and see anything its that she is NOT a part of a cult. More that she is getting into her deep well of anger against her personal past with growing up with that shit and just letting go of that anger.

Theirs is a more classic rock than that of Nirvana, but Emily can see that she has been extremely influenced by Kurt both in how she sings and how she moves

Those people who say that Emily is a karaoke singer after joining LP should be ashamed of themselves. They need to watch this.
Only drive-by haters are saying that. She has been universally welcome into the band. Both their LA and NYC show were packed/sold out, and The Emptiness Machine is their first #1 debut since Meteora in the early 2000's.

My feeling with these songs is that I've heard them in several films. Great Band! Absolutly good.
Song 1: One riff is not enough to make a song. Starts out very pretty, gets monotonous and boring. Song 2: A little better. Managed an occasional chord change in there to break it up. Song 3: Same as 2. Vocalist is appealing but unintelligible. Song 4: Same as 3. Can't understand her. Wish we could. Song 5: More of the same. Gave up mid-song.

@@whtsgoingon personally, I don’t think it was nerves. Emily is no stranger to the spotlight. In my opinion, Emily is the better singer while Chester is the better screamer. That’s not to say Emily can’t scream and Chester couldn’t sing. I just don’t think the band used Emily to her strengths. Instead of arranging the songs to better utilize her singing ability, Emily was asked to scream like Chester. Emily is not used to the sustained screaming that Chester could do. Look for the new album to fit more of Emily’s strengths. The other explanation I could come up with is maybe they rehearsed A LOT prior to the Livestream. Again, Emily is not used to the sustained screaming and pushed too hard with no time to recover. I’ve known her to stick to strict “no talking” to rest her voice.
@@eman1091with the Chester thing I agree, I still kinda believe when the crowd suddenly gets 100 times bigger and you’re replacing one of the best vocalists of all time that even people who were on the stage a lot could get nervous, it’s just simply a different situation. But she’s still absolutely killing it so far, even the screams
