story #46 - life shift

The Western view on grief is that it is something that you passively experience over about a year after a loved one dies. You are supposed to progress from a starting phase, continue through subsequent levels, and, by the end, your grief should be complete. Once you’ve neatly gone through each distinct stage, you can carry on with life. In actuality, grief is a participation sport that has no r...
story #45 - intuition based communication
Просмотров 4Год назад
It’s obvious why someone might be tempted to turn to a communicator in order to talk to their beloved animal, even if that person is otherwise reasonable. It’s terribly hard to share a life with a close friend with whom you are unable to speak. It would be nice to find out, at least, a few basic things. Are they okay? Are they happy? Do they like you? Would they have rather had the green giraff...

👋
Wonderful story and I hope I can become this resilient and bright. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for listening to Tara’s story! We tell these stories so that others know that finding strength and healing is possible for everyone
"Being human is weird" fav. quote of the show ... lol Seriously though, thank you both, I love these real conversations, being so open about these 'Fragile moments"' :)
It’s a fair statement 😂 Grateful for your support my friend!
Thank you so much for this JD. Your calming presence helps to make it easier to share 😊 My hope is that by sharing my story it helps another, in some way 🙏
I hope so too! Grateful to have been able to add your story to the collection so that others may heal as well ❤️
i wanted to watch the entire show but i had so much trouble hearing the lady speaking.
I apologize her audio was off a bit. Elia was speaking from an area that didn’t have great reception. Thank you for listening/watching. We were able to adjust audio on the podcast better. Link to that is in the description. 🙏❤️
@@NotTodayMedia thank you and I’m glad you were able to fix the audio for the other source. I wanted to make you aware so other could hear what was being said and not get discouraged and move on to another topic.
@@susan6880 most appreciated and thank you for being so considerate. Hope you've had a chance to subscribe and be a part of other stories to come!🙏
@@NotTodayMedia sure have🙂
Thank you both for bringing these stories out in the open. A willingness to be so vulnerable takes a lot of courage. I've worked on an Alzheimer's unit and families all handle the decline differently, it's very difficult to lose someone before their physical body is gone.
There is SO much strength in vulnerability. Thank you for taking the time to watch this story.
Really difficult, and I wouldn't have thought about the aspect of not fitting in spouse support groups. So great her kids feel free to talk about the loss and remember good memories. We absolutely need to talk about these hard parts of life, and I'm sure it helps getting it out. Thank you both for sharing.
Just shows how much more education we need in order to support those who need it.
I love that phrase, “developing around my grief better.” My loss is different, but it’s helpful to be reminded that recovery is recovery and if I listen I’ll hear things that sound familiar. It’s so incredibly hard to lose the one being who believes in us wholeheartedly, especially when we’re mentally ill. This strikes home for me.
So grateful this not only found you but resonated my friend. Thanks for subscribing and hope you’ll enjoy future episodes 🙏
